Today in the studio, I completed this campus-themed shoot for Firefly. To deliver the best visual outcome, I woke up at 6:00 AM to start preparing hair and makeup. The chosen wig was silver-grey with mint-green ripple wave highlights, requiring curling iron prep before applying hairspray to lock in natural curves. The leaf hair ornament and grey headband on top were custom-crafted props; their metallic and enamel textures reflected light gorgeously before the camera, though wearing them required careful angle calibration to avoid blocking my vision. The cyan gradient tips at the ends appeared exceptionally translucent under strong lighting.
For the makeup, I deliberately expanded the dimensional depth of the eyes. Wearing purplish-crimson contacts, I layered pink and plum tones across the lids, expanding the lower shadow blending area to craft an innocent, dreamy manga feel, while a soft flush on the cheeks perfectly grounded the cool tones of the silver hair. Blush was placed high above the apples of the cheeks to echo the eye makeup. The base aimed for a matte velvet finish so it wouldn't look oily beneath bright studio lamps, finished with a dewy berry lip tint to maintain youthful vitality.
Wardrobe-wise, I selected a white collared shirt paired with a grey-and-yellow plaid pleated skirt. The top features rich detailing, including grey chest lacing, golden floral embroidery, ribbon accents, and teal accessories; the grey cuff paneling and metal buttons also added tactile luxury. To elevate the styling's layering, the legs were styled with white over-the-knee Stockings and black platform loafers. The stocking rims rested snugly against the thighs, requiring skirt adjustments when standing to preserve balanced body proportions without looking bulky in either seated or standing poses.
The shooting location was a staged classroom, faithfully outfitted with blackboards, desks, chairs, and chalk lettering. Holding a white envelope sealed with a red heart sticker served as the core emotional anchor across the shoot. The first posture was standing in profile with slightly engaged shoulders, highlighting the tailoring of the uniform and body curves; the second was facing the lens straight-on, holding the envelope softly across the chest with a tender gaze; the third was seated on a chair with legs crossed and the letter resting over the skirt, an angle that beautifully displayed the pleats and the smooth texture of the stockings. Finally, facial close-ups utilized the flash to create sparkling catchlights in the eyes, capturing interactive moments with subtle smiles.
During the studio session, the lighting technician combined key lighting with side rim lighting, casting flattering edge contours along the silver hair and white socks while carefully controlling the contrast ratio to prevent facial blowout. Between takes, I continually centered my mindset, striving to convey that serene yet gentle disposition. The campus theme made the process delightfully organic, focusing less on exaggerated poses and more on emotional transmission, such as the subtle shift in gaze when extending the letter toward the lens.
Releasing this set was something I considered for a long time. From choosing wigs and tailoring accessories to booking the studio and locking down the makeup, the plan evolved several times. I am personally very satisfied with the final Classroom photo results, as they preserve my vision of the character in a school setting. I hope this photo set brings you that same peaceful, heart-fluttering warmth. The chalk writing on the board and the desk arrangements were all designed to enrich everyday living realism. With bright overall grading and subtle retouching on skin and fabric textures, we kept everything looking natural. I hope you enjoy this campus-style endeavor, and I look forward to exploring more varied settings and stylings ahead.
