[The Shorekeeper cosplay] Wuthering Waves: The Rover Under the Eaves, Travel Photography Photo Delivery Log

Climbing onto the eaves to shoot was because in the lore I am the Rover; this camera angle fully utilized the depth of the clouds in the background to capture the character's cool, solitary aura. The fabric of this Shorekeeper outfit is quite special—the semi-sheer tulle skirt on the upper body and the silver chest accessories needed careful securing when worn. A gust of wind could easily cause wardrobe slips or block my face, demanding precise posture control from my shoulders during the shoot.

For the eaves shot, photographer Chumo gave me a few tips, such as how to guide the viewer's gaze using butterfly visual effects and how tilting my legs slightly elongates body proportions. Paired with high-heeled sandals, a low-angle upward shot made my figure look exceptionally slender. My hair had this blue gradient; to complement the overall cool-toned makeup and cool and ethereal styling, I specifically wore light-colored contact lenses.

The water surface close-up that follows was shot right at dusk. Since we had no fill lights and relied entirely on ambient light, controlling the exposure was tough. Clasping my hands together was designed to highlight the shoulder lines while helping control the blue tulle that was prone to blowing around.

Currently, post-processing is just at step one. The special effect butterflies are still being composited, and the overall color tone is being graded towards a deep, cool blue to evoke an atmospheric, breathing quality like water reflections. The costume has numerous details—especially around the transparent vinyl elements, which constantly caught on my hair during the shoot and required continuous readjustment.

I tried propping my knees against the roof tiles, but finding a solid resting point was difficult, leaving my thighs a bit red afterwards. However, the raw shot texture was already wonderful. When cosplaying Wuthering Waves The Shorekeeper, special attention must be paid to the skirt's folds: since it's soft tulle, it shouldn't be compressed and must be hung up on hangers, or the edges will easily look uneven.

During this travel photography shoot, the weather shifted between bright and overcast as clouds drifted rapidly, making it crucial to seize the right moments for catchlights in the eyes. The rooftop composition harmoniously unified the streamlined flow of the props with my posing. Although the cosplay photography process was physically demanding, looking back, it was genuinely fun.
