This shoot featured a Pikachu-themed Pokémon scene set around the concept of a trainer's dreamy cloudscape. To bring out this atmosphere, the studio set incorporated plenty of white cotton batting to emulate clouds, with a dual-color lighting scheme—cool blue on the back left and warm orange on the right—to enrich visual depth. For styling, a white sailor top was paired with a yellow pleated skirt, accented by yellow-and-white striped Stockings and a yellow tie, creating a bright and cohesive color palette. During the shoot, various poses were tested to accentuate the costume; reclining on my side or sitting cross-legged highlighted the leg contours, giving the striped Stockings a pronounced 3D effect amidst the clouds and props. The prop layout was meticulously planned: the floor and platform were adorned with Pikachu plush toys of varying sizes, Poké Balls, a retro toy car, and comic frames. Throughout shooting, I interacted naturally with these soft plush props—holding a giant Pikachu or raising my hand as if casting an ability, keeping my expression lively and eyes reflecting the tender bond a trainer shares with their partner. Thematic shoots like this require precise prop placement, taking into account foreground, midground, and background composition alongside camera angles. Enveloped in such a soft environment, it felt just like drifting into a Pokémon marshmallow dreamland, which kept me relaxed. Very little post-processing was needed for this set, largely because the lighting, makeup, and styling were well-calibrated beforehand. For a prominent feature like striped Stockings, avoiding excessive glare under the lights was essential, so we deliberately toned down the side highlights. Looking through the final images, the overall atmosphere thoroughly matched our initial vision.
