[Plymouth cosplay] Azur Lane BW2026 Booth Convention Photos

Considerable care and effort went into the intricate details of this Plymouth gown. The ensemble features an immaculate white base with asymmetric cutout tailoring across the bust; the black satin ribbon and crimson bow at the collar serve as the visual anchor of the upper silhouette, extending down into a subtle shimmering black strap crowned with a suspended golden star pendant. The waistline construction is remarkably complex, integrating geometric patchwork in black and red edged with delicate golden chain link accents. Draped over the exterior is a semi-sheer white chiffon capelet, complemented by ethereal sheer sleeves fastened to the upper arms with miniature red bows—granting graceful drape and fluttering lightness whether moving or striking poses. The skirt consists of tiered white tulle finished with scalloped lace along the hem, which spreads naturally in seated poses to showcase the leg contours.

The wig was chosen in a pale lavender hue, styled into straight tresses with blunt bangs and flanked by golden branch-and-leaf hair ornaments. To harmonize with the hair tone, I selected violet-grey lenses; the eye makeup intentionally deepened outer corner gradients and lash density, paired with peach lips to cultivate a doll-like porcelain aesthetic. Finished with ruffled, tied white wrist gloves and thin white arm cuffs, the entire styling projected a pristine, luminous clarity under the venue's cool-toned illumination.

Shooting took place primarily around the Azur Lane booth at BW2026. The booth set featured blue-and-white architecture with white staircases and decorative backdrops, perfectly complementing the wardrobe's palette. Due to the bright overhead lighting, I favored seated poses—such as perching on the white steps, resting my chin in both hands or placing them gently upon my knees—allowing the skirt and cape to cascade in full grandeur. Standing postures focused on holding the cape's hems to let the sheer fabric unfurl naturally. The photographer captured delightful candid moments, like lightly touching my forehead with one hand or forming heart gestures beside my cheeks, adding lively interactivity. Incidental neon signage and passing crowds captured with shallow depth of field ended up lending that energetic, signature convention atmosphere.

To preserve the garments' immaculate drape, I spent extensive time steaming the tulle and fabrics beforehand. Dressing required careful sequencing: smoothing the waist chains and hanging pendants before draping the sheer outer mantle to avoid entanglement. Because the costume incorporates numerous delicate metallic findings and ties, broad movements were restrained to prevent accessories from shifting or snagging. Though maintaining this intricate silhouette demanded constant vigilance, seeing the textile textures harmonizing with the convention lighting made every bit of pre-production worthwhile. This session gave me an even deeper appreciation for Plymouth's charm, and I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with everyone at the booth.
