For today's Citlali cosplay outfit from Genshin Impact, I put a lot of heart into restoring everything from the styling of the wig to the geometric patterns and metal accessories on the costume. The sunshine at the CICF Expo was exceptionally good, casting a soft, translucent glow on my face. During the shoot, I specifically emphasized to the photographer to preserve this natural light quality instead of airbrushing the skin to look overly flat.
The tree stumps and painted stones on the set unexpectedly matched the character's temperament perfectly, making it much easier for me to find a relaxed state when posing. The few shots of me leaning against the wooden stumps were actually spontaneous snapshots taken while I was resting and adjusting, which turned out much more natural than the intentionally struck poses. Walking around the convention all day in these platform lace-up sandals was indeed a bit of a challenge, but for the sake of overall visual unity, I think it was totally worth it.
Every time we do a location shoot, I can feel that great light and shadow combined with the right setting can truly elevate the temperament of a cosplay piece, which is why I highly value on-site communication during Cosplay photography. Putting together this look is a wonderful exploration of Anime-style fashion, and I'm so glad to share this vibe with everyone.
