This Genshin Impact Columbina shoot demanded tremendous dedication from preparation to final selects—heartfelt thanks to my photographer and retoucher @植物菌 for our seamless synergy. During initial concept discussions, we chose to construct the atmosphere around the motif of The White Dove under the Moon. The wardrobe featured her iconic blue-and-white palette; to mirror original designs, the skirt utilized multi-tiered gossamer layers that floated with airy grace during motion or suspended poses. The wig was chosen with a black base featuring vibrant pink streaks, requiring ample hairspray to sculpt the bangs and face-framing strands before securing them with criss-crossing white cords. The feathered wing headdress was angled repeatedly to maintain an organic, three-dimensional silhouette before the lens.

The studio arrangement featured Roman pillars and stylized cloud props set against a pale blue sky cyclorama, aiming to cultivate a celestial garden. Reflective floor material and scattered pink-and-white petals introduced a dreamlike reverie, while the thick braided rope prop provided practical support for dynamic body poses. To channel her ethereal Girlish vibe tinged with subtle melancholia, I tested suspended cross-legged sitting, looking back while tugging the cords, and reaching out toward the camera glass. Expression was paramount—avoiding simple sweetness, the gaze required detachment and fragile vulnerability beneath an undercurrent of calm authority. In several frames, I averted my gaze, using lowered eyes and soft profiles to evoke introspective meditation.

For post-processing, I utilized retouching software that excels at Anime-style photography fantasy grading. In the effects panel, I engaged hair anti-gravity dialed to high intensity to disperse falling or tangled locks into a weightless float, which, paired with hair strand illumination, cleanly delineated the pink streaks against the blue ambient backdrop. Environmental particle effects and drifting mist dissolved visual flatness. Garment pleats, metallic gold textures, and strapping details were adjusted individually for contrast within high-key exposures. Each image was scrutinized at 100% zoom to clean skin blemishes while preserving natural dermal texture, refining the neckline, shoulders, and leg proportions.

Where is the white dove destined to fly? This question lingered in my mind throughout the shoot. Columbina radiates an enigmatic duality that pushed me toward restrained, understated emotional cadence in both expression and pose. The atmospheric immersion of the final selects thrilled our entire team—especially the windblown drapery and luminous hair glints melting seamlessly into the celestial background.
