[Citlali cosplay] Genshin Impact Nocturnal Whispers of Stars and Smoke: Pink Twin Tails Are Pure Sweetness

This shoot centered on Citlali from Genshin Impact, conceptualized around the theme 'Nocturnal Whispers of Stars and Smoke'. For this session, I wore Galaxy blue colored contacts. Being someone who fixates on details, styling and shaping the wig took considerable dedication. The pink-to-purple gradient locks caught the studio illumination with lush texture, completed by the dark-blue lace-trimmed goggle headband across the crown for a silhouette I was truly proud of. In cosmetics, the purple geometric markings along both cheeks were intentionally emphasized to capture her canonical identity.

Regarding the wardrobe, the off-the-shoulder white cut and intricate patterning tested physical mobility, yet yielded an airy, weightless aesthetic. Fingerless purple gloves and pastel pink ribbon bows added delightful micro-details across the composition. For our central prop, we brought an oversized white plush pillow accented with character face graphics and blue strapping; cradling it on set not only created intuitive interaction, but also introduced layered dimensional depth. Down below, white leg warmer sleeves—evoking clean Stockings styling—paired with chunky platform shoes to tie the proportions cleanly together.

The session took place in a studio using a seamless pale lavender paper backdrop. Lighting favored soft overhead keys alongside subtle side fill, allowing hair fibers and delicate textiles to render crisply without harsh shadows. Photographer @AbstractXiaobo offered superb direction in spatial composition and candid motion. For the initial pose series seated on the floor cradling the pillow, I repeatedly shifted my weight to flatter the leg lines and ethereal skirt folds. The second pose was a prone setup lying flat on the floor; keeping the upper torso lifted while maintaining a relaxed gaze was physically tiring, yet essential for the frame.

Towards the wrap of the shoot, we welcomed a special guest: a little white cat. It reclined naturally on the studio floor, and as I glanced down toward it, an authentic, heartwarming magic filled the frame—the kind of spontaneous serenity that calculated poses can never replicate. The overarching aim was to project a dreamy, peaceful stillness, so I steered clear of exaggerated facial expressions, letting subtle glances carry the narrative.

Friends often ask if bringing such intricate characters to life is exhausting. Truthfully, the weight of the full outfit and dense wig demands real physical stamina, but reviewing the final proofs makes every exertion worthwhile. My personal favorite is the shot perched upon the white box: it presents the entire garment architecture while elongating the leg contours, with a subtle high-angle framing that infuses the character with lively buoyancy.
