Putting on this outfit for Ganyu Cosplay and standing in the decorated Chinese scene made it feel as if I truly traveled to a snowy night in Liyue from Genshin Impact. The combination of red plums and a paper umbrella adds a touch of classical charm to the overall atmosphere. For this shoot, warm-toned lighting was intentionally selected to balance the cool feel of the blue and white color scheme. The textures of the fur shawl and bowknot were beautifully captured on camera, and the wig was also meticulously styled.
When holding the umbrella, the angle had to be adjusted to ensure the skirt hem and ribbons showed a natural flowing sense in the frame while maintaining an even distribution of light. During the shooting process, standing and sitting poses were repeatedly adjusted to strive to present the character's elegant yet slightly lazy temperament. The plum blossom elements serve as embellishments, echoing the artistic concept of 'the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from the bitter cold,' while the action of leaning against the plum tree and looking back adds narrative depth to the image.
This outfit has many details, especially the bell at the waist and the patterns on the cuffs; every accessory was meticulously matched to fit this Anime-style OOTD. Although the venue was relatively compact during the shoot, the final light and shadow layers and background bokeh made the entire frame clean and deep. I hope through this set of photos, I can convey the quiet and gentle sense of power Ganyu possesses in winter. This has been a truly rewarding Cosplay photography experience.
