A lot of thought truly went into the details of this Citlali costume. From the inner multi-layered white tulle skirt hem to the outer translucent light-purple overlay veil, every single layer of pleats and stitches was carefully adjusted. The huge dark purple bow on the chest serves as the visual center of the entire outfit; to keep it three-dimensional in front of the lens, I specially added stiff mesh tulle inside for support. The white choker and golden geometric decorations on the neck also required precise alignment to recreate that exquisite yet slightly mysterious temperament.

The headpiece styling is quite interesting: the small round hat with a white base and purple trim, coupled with that purple small creature hairpin with eyes, is the most lively highlight of the entire styling. In terms of makeup, to match the character's anime cosplay feel, I intensified the area of the pink blush, and the red diamond mark right in the middle of the forehead was also adjusted repeatedly in position before setting the makeup. The wig was chosen in a pink-purple gradient style, with the hair ends slightly curled to make the overall look lighter.

The shooting day was chosen at an indoor venue with a retro European style. The carved wooden sofa here, the warm-toned floor lamp, and the rich oil paintings and floral arrangements in the background could perfectly set off the dreamy feel of the character. Holding that plush doll with white and blue geometric patterns in my hands, or holding a teacup and macarons next to the wooden coffee table, greatly enriched the frame and added a sense of storytelling intertwining daily life and fantasy.

A Canon camera was used for this shoot. Under the warm light source, the tonal variations of purple and the translucency of the tulle were wonderfully recorded. During the shoot, I tried my best to relax my body, either sitting on the sofa or leaning against the chaise lounge, showcasing the layers of the skirt hem and the overall lines through body extension. To highlight the visual proportion of the legs, I chose white short boots paired with purple lace-trimmed short socks, leaving some negative space in the frame to give the viewer's gaze a resting point.

Whether doing outdoor locations or studio photoshoots, physical and mental energy consumption is quite high. Because this costume features many waist-cinching and strap designs, it required reorganizing after prolonged sitting or large movements. But seeing the coordination between light-and-shadow and costume textures in the finished photos made everything feel totally worth it. In fact, the greatest joy of anime cosplay lies in materializing flat 2D designs through costumes, makeup, and scenes. From the initial costume prototyping and accessory making to action design and emotional expression during the shoot, every single step requires patience. I hope these photos shared today can let friends who love anime feel a tiny bit of awe and shock.
