[Shimoe Koharu cosplay] Fist of judgment from Blue Archive, showing no mercy today either

This Shimoe Koharu cosplay styling was my main outfit for this convention, and I finally found time to organize these Convention photos taken at the mall's glass staircase.

Let's talk about the costume and details first. The pink twintails are the soul of the look—they need to be naturally fluffy while retaining a lightweight 2D airiness. As for her iconic pink halo overhead, to make it look natural under outdoor lighting, we fine-tuned its texture during post-processing; on-site, however, it was secured using fishing line and hidden hair clips. Walking while wearing it required keeping my center of gravity steady, as it could easily tilt. The small black jacket paired with the white off-shoulder base top inside, along with the black choker around the neck, creates a crisp color scheme of pink, black, red, and white. The deep red pleated skirt and white thigh-high socks on the lower half are my personal favorite parts; paired with black leather shoes, they elongate visual proportions effectively in both standing and seated poses. The black feather wings on the back were sized just right—not too heavy to weigh down my shoulders while accommodating various dynamic movements.

The seated pose holding the red book is precisely the one I selected for the cover photo. Since rigid standing poses can easily look stiff, upon holding this dark red book (imprinted with "only you"), I naturally sat on the low wall beside the glass railing. Extending one leg slightly while bending the other not only highlights the white thigh-high socks to elevate the overall ensemble, but pointing the book forward with my hand also adds a touch of narrative flair, appearing tsundere yet lively.

The convention venue was actually quite complex with crowds everywhere, so we took a slight detour to locate this outdoor staircase with glass railings and translucent lighting. Late afternoon natural light filtered through the louvers of nearby buildings, casting a soft halo over my light pink hair and adding a gentle filter-like touch to the stark contrast of the black jacket and red skirt. The glass backdrop provided a clean, translucent frame free from cluttered distractions.

In truth, every Anime cosplay session demands a systematic preparation process. From finding a wig stylist to trim the wig, refining makeup details, to tweaking the jacket tailoring myself so it matched the character's loose, relaxed design more accurately. The saying "Anime is reality's magic" holds true—while halos and wings don't exist in reality, wearing this outfit among the convention crowd grants a genuinely magical feeling of a character coming alive in 3D.

These photos record a sweet memory from this convention. Although I had to constantly monitor whether the halo tilted or if the hair got windblown during shooting, seeing the restored results in final captures makes all the effort worthwhile. I hope this set conveys the unique charm of Shimoe Koharu in this Roleplay experience.
