Holding the guitar and standing on the lawn, I directly dove into the shooting state; these photos were actually shot consecutively during roughly the same afternoon. The mint green guitar I held in the first picture was a great atmospheric prop for this uniform outfit. The weather back then was wonderful, with a very clean background of blue sky and white clouds. Using an ultra-wide-angle lens to capture the modern buildings and the lawn behind me into the frame created a highly open visual perception. Since there weren't too many complicated props, the focus was placed on controlling the character's posture. Although playing the guitar was just a staged pose, the positions of my fingers pressing the strings and the tilt angle of my body were adjusted slightly to make the frame look more natural.

Then we went to the rooftop or a high observation deck, seizing that sliver of light before sunset to shoot the jumping photo with my back to the camera. The light shifted incredibly fast at that time, and the orange-yellow sunset glow filtering through the clouds happened to gild the frame with a warm hue, making the sky present a gradient layer alternating between grayish-blue and orange-citrus. The action of jumping up while wearing a uniform and carrying a school bag actually took several candid captures to select a satisfying one. The moment when the hemline and hair fluttered in the air heavily tested physical coordination, and jumping multiple times was quite physically draining. The black student bag I carried was also to match the overall school style; although the bag itself was very light, swinging it around added more of a slice-of-life feel.

The third photo moves back to a street corner, finding outdoor seating at a coffee shop with glass curtain walls. Sitting in front of a white square table to take a brief rest, there happened to be a strong warm-toned sidelight hitting us at that moment, with the glass reflecting a warm halo, freezing the state of my whole body loosening up slightly. Actually, this kind of quietly sitting image can sometimes express a daily atmosphere better than grand movements. During the shoot, I also brought a small plush toy to place on the table as an embellishment, enriching the foreground of the frame a bit. I also tried several different placements for my legs, ultimately choosing this posture with knees close together, which, combined with the green socks, looked quite well-behaved in the photo.

This time, a light pink long straight wig was selected, paired with black-rimmed glasses and this gray blazer and green plaid skirt, giving the overall styling a very high completion level. The gray blazer is made of a relatively rigid fabric that can hold its shape, and paired with a matching tie and the underlying white shirt, it looks much neater. The green over-the-knee socks are a small highlight of this outfit; these long stockings can beautifully modify the leg shape visually, and the color echoes the green plaid of the skirt perfectly. Brown loafers are also a classic configuration, which are quite comfortable to walk in, so standing for a long time during the shoot wasn't exceptionally tiring.

The photographer put a lot of thought into controlling the light and shadow, especially that backlit photo during the sunset period. Although backlit shooting can easily leave the subject underexposed or with blurry contours, the just-right highlights and shadows instead sculpted a great sense of contour. Combined with the layers of the clouds, the entire photograph carries a strong sense of airiness. For the other two location shoots, whether outdoors under a clear sky or beside the street-corner shop after sunset, the utilization of natural light was the core of this photo set, basically refraining from using extra artificial light sources to disrupt the natural texture of the environment. In terms of composition, choices were made regarding the depth of field, allowing the background to blend into the environment rather than stealing the spotlight from the character.

Every time we do a location shoot, there are actually many unexpected little episodes, such as the wind on the lawn being too strong and messing up the wig, or the curious glances of passersby, but these also form the authentic memories of the shooting process. The color keynote of this photo set is quite fresh; colors like pink hair, a green skirt, and blue sky mixed together are visually very comfortable. Personally, I feel this kind of cool yet slightly warm slice-of-life feel is precisely what makes this type of school-style look attractive. Throughout the entire shoot, whether adjusting postures or coordinating with light and shadow, I gained some new insights, feeling that my grasp of the character and my camera presence have also improved a bit for this photography sharing.
