[Escoffier Cosplay] Genshin Impact Dessert Chef's BW 2026 Almora Booth Record

This time, the Almora booth at BW 2026 had a very suitable setting to match this Escoffier look. The booth on-site was mainly based on a refreshing blue-and-white color scheme, paired with a white sunshade awning and warm-toned wall lamps in the background. The overall atmosphere was bright and relaxed, making it especially perfect for this chef-themed attire. We chose to shoot next to the retro-styled Bluetooth speaker on the left side of the booth. That white vintage portable speaker, combined with the macaron props next to it, instantly created an immersive afternoon tea vibe. I found a small round stool to sit down on-site, and the prop master handed me the matching tea set. The whole process felt very natural, and the state captured on camera was quite relaxed.

The entire costume has a tremendous amount of detail this time. First is the white chef hat on top of the head, paired with the golden-yellow long hair, along with two small three-strand braids and blue bow decorations, beautifully restoring the character's features. The white uniform on the upper body is well-tailored, and the red necktie/bow tie increases the color contrast of the frame. The cuffs are made in a ruffled style with red-and-black color blocking, which beautifully showcases layering in every gesture. The patched fabric below the skirt hem is an extremely exquisite combination of red, black, and gold, draping naturally when moving and offering a great sense of texture.

The lower body is paired with pure white stockings, matched with black glossy Mary Jane chunky-heeled leather shoes featuring a small black bow at the toe. This high-contrast black-and-white styling is not only visually clean but also beautifully elongates the leg lines. During the shoot, I tried two different movements with the cup: one with the spoon near my lips, simulating tasting a dessert, and the other lifting the spoon slightly, creating a sense of preparing to stir the drink. Under the complex lighting on-site, the colors of the entire costume did not show severe chromatic aberration, and the texture rendering was quite excellent.

It must be said that the setup of the Almora booth has an immense advantage in lighting. Convention venues actually heavily test a photographer's lighting capabilities, but under their booth, the character's face and costume textures were beautifully illuminated without obvious shadow interference. I took quite a few interactive photos in front of the booth, where the warm lighting in the background blended seamlessly with the macarons and water cups on the table, offering a sense of theme without stealing the spotlight. Holding the spoon and cup also perfectly reflected the character's culinary setting and elegant temperament, making me feel very at ease while experiencing it live.

Finding such a clear scene with fully equipped props at an intensely crowded convention like BW 2026 is highly advantageous for doing cosplay. Paired with this relatively fresh, light-colored outfit, the rate of successful shots for this cosplay photography showcase was indeed very high. The photographer did not deliberately pursue complex camera movements but used a relatively stable medium shot composition to capture the on-site atmosphere, which conversely made the photos look more like casual snapshots taken in a real dessert shop. The entire shooting process was smooth, without feeling constrained due to the complexity of the costume, and the bows, ruffles, and the position of the hat all maintained an excellent state. This experience at the Almora booth truly gave me many different performance feelings for the character, as the clean and sharp booth style highly resonated with the character's match.
