This wink paired with the classroom lighting was truly just right. For today's shoot of Sunna, the overall style carries a hint of mature charm over a cute foundation. The dark blue strappy bodysuit has a very form-fitting cut, with the white lines at the back and the "チゴ" lettering across the chest printed crisp and clear, while the fabric comes with a subtle sheen. To add layering to the frame, I intentionally paired it with pink-and-white striped arm sleeves, and the semi-sheer black stockings elongated the leg lines visually. When sitting on the classroom desk, the texture delivered by this wrapped feel looked fantastic.
The wig took a long time to style today; the platinum-blonde wavy curls needed to retain their volume without appearing frizzy, and the cyan bow and small black bobby pins on top of the head were adjusted to their most symmetrical positions. In terms of makeup, eye details were heavily accentuated: green colored contacts combined with black linework and pink stickers, finished with an orange-pink blush, radiate an energetic vitality straight through the screen. Because the character setting carries a tension intertwining mature elegance and loli charm, I didn't deliberately act young with facial expressions; instead, following the character's natural vibe, I gave a soft one-eyed wink, which, paired with a raised hand gesture, hit the perfect balance between lazy composure and playfulness.
The setting was chosen in a classroom, with the blackboard and wooden desks behind me, and sunlight streaming through the side windows to cast very natural shadows across the desk surfaces and legs. The photographer, Ci, is very skilled at capturing dynamic candids; before shooting, we discussed the casual, less rigid composition we wanted. Sitting on the desk with one leg hanging naturally and the other resting on an adjacent desk required some core engagement to keep my center of gravity steady while making the upper body appear completely effortless. To get satisfying results, we tried several angles from this spot, including placing a hand beside the cheek and tweaking the gaze direction toward the camera; the final output proved all these adjustments were well worth it.
Many people ask me how to avoid looking stiff when shooting campus-style photos. The key actually lies in relaxing the neck and shoulders. Poses can be large, but muscles shouldn't be tense—especially when using desks and chairs for support, engaging the back slightly while letting the shoulders drop and relax makes the lines look graceful. The indoor lighting was relatively soft, so ensuring even frontal facial illumination in-camera was essential. In post-processing, I preserved skin textures and the tactile thickness of the stockings without excessive airbrushing, giving the photos a more authentic photographic texture.
This entire styling integrated seamlessly with the scene, with every step from clothing selection to accessory coordination strictly hitting the character setting. The classroom backdrop inherently brings its own sense of story, which, combined with this outfit, conveys the intended temperament even in a simple sitting pose. When the shoot wrapped up and I previewed these shots on camera, the light, shadow, and emotion were all spot-on, leaving me thoroughly satisfied.
