The convention photos of Vivian from BW Day 1 are finally sorted out! To capture the character with complete fidelity, extensive thought went into the costume and props during pre-production. The wig features a subtle gradient transitioning from soft lilac to pure white; to ensure a natural transition, the crown was teased for high-profile volume, accented by deep blue bow accessories and a pair of elongated pointed elf ears, creating an instantly recognizable facial frame.

The centerpiece of the wardrobe is a white off-the-shoulder collared blouse. I specifically sourced one with ruffled flutter cuffs and silver buttons; to reproduce the texture of the original game art, the blouse's clean drape and delicate folds required meticulous ironing. The waist was cinched with black leather harnesses, which not only visually tapered the waistline, but also ensured the fabric wouldn't bunch up awkwardly during crouched poses. The lower half was paired with black shorts and sheer black Stockings, with my nails pre-painted in solid black beforehand—these subtle nuances greatly elevated the overall completeness of the styling. Slung over my shoulder was the black polearm weapon; while not excessively heavy, balancing it one-handed for dynamic poses still demanded disciplined core engagement.

Upon arriving at the venue, the overhead lighting across the hall was rather harsh, but thankfully communication with photographer @想吃饭了么 went wonderfully smoothly. We scouted a relatively clean corner and utilized a telephoto lens to compress the depth of field, blurring out the chaotic expo crowds to lock the visual focus entirely onto the character's presence. To match the slightly downcast, subtly intimidating gaze seen in the canonical art, I dropped my center of gravity, leaned forward with one arm resting on my knee, and propped the spear diagonally against my shoulder. Sustaining this semi-crouch over extended takes caused noticeable burning in my thighs, and walking around the packed hall in black Stockings brought its share of friction and warmth, yet with every click of the shutter, my focus snapped right back—the subtle fatigue in my eyes actually resonated unexpectedly well with her trademark languid, enigmatic aura. In the shot where my left hand extends toward the lens, I deliberately tensed my fingertips to channel dramatic tension and showcase the cold elegance of the black nails.

With crowds constantly flowing past on shoot day, strobe angles and bounce reflectors required endless recalibration; because the white blouse easily blew out under intense spotlights, light metering took up a bit of time. Fortunately, the finished photos delivered fantastic tactility, particularly in the rendering of natural skin textures and the smooth gradation across fabric folds, aligning closely with my ideal vision. From the silky flow of the wig and subtle jacquard patterns on the cloth to the metallic buckles of the harness, the styling passed the test under convention lighting. Cosplaying at an expo is truly a process of drawing closer to a fictional persona within a physical environment—looking through the lens at the final selects and witnessing a 2D character step into three dimensions is an enchanting feeling. Day 1 was thoroughly fulfilling, and meeting so many friendly players and photographers made every bit of exhaustion well worth the creative immersion.
