[Chihaya Anon cosplay] BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! Pink Piano and Magic wand Snapshots

The concept for this pink-themed Chihaya Anon photoshoot was mainly to combine white piano keys with Magic wand elements. The wig was a custom-made long straight pink style with blunt bangs and inward-curled ends; to maintain the curve of the bangs, I sprayed setting spray and clamped them with clips for a long time. Eye makeup was crucial: I chose purple-blue colored contacts to recreate that crystalline clarity, lengthened the eyeliner slightly, and smudged matte pink eyeshadow along the lower lash line to soften the gaze. Because the shoot was set in an indoor piano room centered around a pure white Piano, we deliberately avoided warm yellow lighting in favor of cool white key lights, toning down the overly sugary sweetness of the pink wig to appear more cool, refined, and elegant.

The outfit featured a gray knit vest paired with a collared white shirt and bow tie, accented by sheer tulle sleeves. Combining these fabrics created rich layers—especially with light shining through the sheer arm tulle when raising my hands. The pure white staff in hand was custom-made, decorated with carved feathers, vines, and rhinestones. It was quite heavy, so to keep the staff from looking stiff in front of the lens, I adjusted my wrist tension multiple times, leveraging posture to make the prop appear weightless.

The emotion to convey didn't need to be overly complicated. Because the character naturally has a lively side, simply lowering my head slightly, gazing toward the camera or down at the piano keys was enough to tell a story. The blurred black and white keys of the Piano turned into geometric background textures, beautifully complementing the subject's presence in the foreground. During the shoot, we also repositioned the softbox to prevent harsh specular highlights on the white staff.

Wearing contact lenses alongside false lashes made my vision slightly blurry, so capturing shots relied on feeling during focusing, which was a novel experience. Sitting on the piano bench in this outfit, the skirt length was just right for posing naturally. Post-processing mainly focused on enhancing skin translucency while preserving raw skin textures without excessive airbrushing to look authentic and natural. The overall color temperature was shifted slightly toward purple-blue tones, making all the white elements appear luminous.

This shoot took about two hours, fine-tuning details at every step from grooming the wig to aligning with lighting positions. This experience reinforced how vital props are—if the staff is misplaced, the entire composition loses balance. I love infusing personal interpretations into character portrayals, and this photo set captured an afternoon of dedicated preparation. Although a few expressions were missed midway, the final result—from individual hair strands to the catchlight in the eyes—reached a very satisfying state. I hope viewers can feel the quiet piano melody and magical atmosphere. Seeing these cool-toned photos, I feel the character's earnest yet subtly clumsy charm was captured wonderfully. The persona isn't forced, but naturally expressed through the gaze and handheld props. These archived photos are a precious photography record for me, documenting my dedication as a cosplayer, and this cool-toned palette paired with pink hair truly brings exceptional visual quality.
