For today's outdoor Chihaya Anon cosplay photoshoot, we picked a steel-structured outdoor staircase and a pedestrian bridge over the river. During pre-production, faithfully executing the costume details was paramount. The cropped blue denim jacket required a structured silhouette that retained sleek tailoring—especially the ruffled shoulders and the front metallic zipper—taking multiple fitting attempts to find the perfect inner top. The asymmetrical white maxi skirt on the lower half featured layered tiers, demanding careful attention to its drape and flow when walking so it wouldn't appear bulky. To stay true to character, I paired it with black platform combat boots, striking a harmony between sweet style and rock edge.

Wig styling also took considerable effort. The long straight pink wig needed a clean sheen on camera, while the blunt bangs and inner layers required airy volume to avoid clumping together in the wind. In makeup, blue-gray contact lenses were chosen to match the character's eye color, complemented by subtle contouring and soft peach lip gloss to keep the complexion fresh and translucent under outdoor natural light. For accessories, a delicate black choker and a necklace set with a blue teardrop jewel provided essential detailing, while blue earrings peeked through fluttering locks to enrich visual depth.

The mint-green electric guitar was the undisputed star prop. Although I am not an actual guitarist, I took time before the shoot to study fundamental holding postures and chord fingerings. Since the guitar strap featured custom lettering patterns, I allowed it to drape naturally during side profiles and playing poses to showcase its graphic design. Photographer @Zhu.SAMA was exceptionally skilled in composition and lighting, utilizing the geometric lines of the staircase and the leading lines of railings to capture a wide array of perspectives.

The natural breeze on set was an unexpected blessing. In the over-the-shoulder glance in Photo 6, the initial goal was simply to showcase the overall ensemble with the guitar, but a timely gust swept up both the long pink hair and the flowing asymmetrical skirt hem. To seize that kinetic moment, I shifted my center of gravity, angled my torso toward the camera, and tilted the guitar neck slightly downward—keeping the garment lines unobstructed while focusing the viewer's gaze on my facial expression and the windblown hair. To radiate the character's signature energy, I actively managed my expressions, keeping my eyes bright and engaged with a gentle upturn at the lips to avoid feeling rigid or overly staged.

For the seated shots along the staircase, the height variance between steps meant carefully controlling how the skirt pooled so as not to crush the back tiers. Laying the mint-green guitar across my lap required finding an angle where it was fully framed without feeling awkward. This shoot spanned across diverse setups—moving from the steps up to the rooftop terrace—constantly shifting positions to capture optimal backlight and side lighting. Overall, this outdoor shoot offered immense creative freedom; whether leaning against the railings or shooting from low angles, it faithfully brought out the character's bold yet darling persona, achieving the refined texture I had envisioned for this cosplay photoshoot.
