[Chihaya Anon Cosplay] MyGO!!!!! Pink Hair and Refreshing Blue-and-White Plaid Convention Photos

This look featuring pink wig styling paired with a light blue plaid skirt was successfully shot. The studio lighting was ample, and although the wig bangs did slightly block the key light, the photographer Firefly was highly professional. After adjusting from multiple angles, the facial lighting in most of the final cuts turned out uniform, and a slight localized brightening in post-processing could easily resolve this issue.

Let's talk about the overall styling concept this time. The inner light blue shirt is made of a soft and lightweight fabric, with cuffs designed in a puffy lantern sleeve style. Once layered with the outer blue-and-white plaid pinafore dress, the entire structural depth comes through. The dark buckled belt on the dress is a visual highlight that shapes the waistline, and paired with the matching light blue mid-calf socks and dark blue platform buckled shoes, the color transition between the upper and lower body is exceptionally smooth, presenting a refreshing yet energetic visual effect.

The convention hall had a significant flow of people on the day of the shoot, with tripods, light modifiers, and passing crowds visible in the background. However, the photographer used a large aperture to blur out the crowds, making the main subject pop out prominently. I struck some loose and extended poses; the one raising my hand was actually captured while I was tidying up the wig on my head, and it turned out unexpectedly natural. The full-body shot with legs slightly apart and arms naturally opened presents the silhouette of the whole outfit quite completely. This kind of pinafore dress has a natural swaying feel when walking, making it perfect for taking dynamic, casual cosplay photos.

After finishing the shoot in the afternoon, I dragged my luggage to take the subway. Passing by a glass curtain wall, I took a mirror selfie on the fly. Although my face is blurred out, that feeling of packing up gear and commuting through urban spaces formed another interesting everyday extension of the convention photos taken at the venue. The subway signs and ambient light reflected on the glass actually added a touch of life's vitality to this look.

Regarding makeup and hair details, the pink-and-white patched wig holds an excellent texture in front of the lens, showing different reflective layers under different lighting. The light blue colored contacts harmonized beautifully with the overall cool-toned outfit without stealing the show. However, if I shoot a similar style next time, I would suggest fixing the bangs slightly in advance with hairspray to prevent stray hair from blocking the eye light, making the gaze more transparent. The base makeup chosen during the shoot was quite light, and with a clean setting powder, it didn't look heavy under the studio lamps.

Overall, although this look doesn't require complex special effects, it wins on harmonious color coordination. Post-processing also tried to preserve the natural skin tone and light of the original shots as much as possible without adding overly complex filters, highlighting the fresh characteristics of the costume itself. I love using this method to record the flat, static beauty. Being able to catch a convention opportunity with perfect sunlight and freeze the moment dressed as a beloved character is inherently highly meaningful. I hope there will be another opportunity like this next time to capture the dynamic tension of the poses more naturally.
