[Chihaya Anon cosplay] If Only the Heart Could Wear a Band-Aid

The texture and style of this outfit have always been perfect for a school style, so for this shoot, I specifically chose a set featuring a piano and dessert elements. The pink wig paired with the grey knit vest, white dress shirt, and black tie created an overall soft and gentle tone under the cool-toned studio lighting. Spending considerable time adjusting the wig and bangs before shooting was essential—especially when facing the camera, finding the right angle was crucial to keep the face from looking too round. The positioning of the hair strands also mattered greatly, so I continually fine-tuned my poses according to how the light caught the fibers.

In Photo 1, I held a custom-made white scepter adorned with feathers and carved filigree. It had some weight to it, so finding an angle that framed well against the piano's black-and-white keys without obscuring my face took quite a bit of patience. Photo 2 features a mirror-selfie perspective where a heart hand gesture paired with a slight head tilt created a more natural, balanced proportion. Luck was certainly on our side during this shoot; despite the bright fill lights being slightly glaring, we captured my most relaxed state. Although the last two photos are still lifes of the flower wall and desserts, they were taken intentionally to build the thematic atmosphere—the cream cake paired with cross-motif decorations radiated a unique sense of healing.

Moving around the set during the shoot, the entire costume and makeup felt very breathable and easy to move in. While styling other characters in the past sometimes involved unruly wigs, this pink wig was remarkably smooth to brush through. Trying out different concepts like this was genuinely enjoyable. Truly, a lot of emotions and pressure gradually dissolved between quiet sighs and editing photos, just like wishing for an invisible band-aid whenever the heart feels hurt. Even if the reach of my previous post wasn't ideal, the heartfelt effort put into the shoot and equipment adjustments was definitely not wasted. Once the lighting was refined, not only were facial contours sharpened, but the drape and wrinkles of the outfit stood out with great texture. The collar of the white shirt was slightly tight, yet it authentically captured that youthful school vibe. The hand placement holding the scepter was adjusted several times, angling it slightly outward so my shoulders wouldn't appear overly broad, making the silhouette look more delicate.

From costume prep and location scouting to the actual shutter clicks, this entire shoot was a continuous journey of exploration. I hope these visuals—tinged with a gentle melancholy yet filled with a healing warmth—convey my genuine state and let everyone feel the natural charm of school style cosplay. Daily hustle and trivialities all quiet down within these frozen frames, just like a peaceful moment of rest. Featuring formal compositions at the piano, casual daily interactions, and carefully curated still lifes, this photo set is a true expression of my understanding of the character.
