[Chihaya Anon cosplay] Sea Breeze and Pinwheel, MyGO Summer Voyage Record

This shoot was actually a spontaneous idea, but I didn't expect the weather to be exceptionally good. The location we selected was this coastal highway, the breakwater, and the nearby pier. Standing by the unobstructed seaside, the sunlight was intense, and the azure sea and sky almost merged into one, which perfectly matched the fantasy of a summer voyage in my mind when paired with this blue and white sailor suit outfit.

Since it's a Chihaya Anon cosplay, the signature pink twin-tails are indispensable. This time, the hairstyle was intentionally handled to be fluffy and natural, complementing the blue and white striped sailor hat beautifully. During outdoor shooting, the sea breeze is the greatest variable. To prevent the hat and wig from completely scattering in the wind, we did a fairly secure fixing in the early phase to ensure that the hairstyle and hat position could be maintained under various large movements. The top features a light blue sleeveless design, paired with a white sailor collar and a pink bowtie; the refreshing blue, white, and pink color scheme is exceptionally clean and ensures color uniformity in the frame.

In terms of props, I chose a pure white paper pinwheel. Don't underestimate this pinwheel—with the help of the sea breeze, it spins incredibly fast. When the photographer had me wave it, the spinning blades reflected light spots under the sun, making me look even more agile. To match the overall refreshing feel, the shoes chosen were black thick-heeled Mary Janes paired with long over-the-knee white stockings; the classic combination of black and white strengthens the visual extension effect of the legs. When striking those single-leg standing poses, I needed to tighten my core to maintain balance. Fortunately, the thick heels of these shoes were stable enough so that stepping on the breakwater and pebble beach wouldn't result in twisted ankles so easily.

During the shoot, we happened to run into local fishermen setting sail, and the small boats docked by the pier alongside the white truck by the roadside became embellishments for the frame. We avoided some chaotic signposts and excessive man-made traces, leaving the long shot to the distant mountains and a line of blue sea as much as possible. The lighting for this set of photos is pure harsh light, leaving clear dark shadows on the ground. This high-contrast light source is actually highly suitable for showcasing this energetic and lively style, making the character's silhouette and clothing texture look exceptionally translucent under the intense light.

Some friends might ask how to avoid the hairstyle and skirt hem being blown into a mess when shooting by the seaside. Actually, my approach was to let nature take its course. When the wind blows, the wig flutters behind, and the skirt hem also rises with the wind; the snapshot captured by the lens actually possesses more vitality than a meticulously set pose. For example, in the shot where I sit on the low concrete wall and look back, the sea breeze happened to let the long hair present a highly natural and fluffy state, and combined with the pinwheel in hand, the dynamic sense of the entire frame is exceptionally good for this ACG outdoor location session.

The details of the costume, makeup, and props are also crucial—the white gloves, short wristbands, and the way the bowtie is tied; these small accessories all played an excellent role as embellishments in the overall pairing. For makeup, I also specifically chose a translucent orange-pink color scheme, letting the eye makeup reveal a bit of clear luster under the harsh light. The team cooperated with excellent tacit understanding this time. The photographer found angles very quickly and basically wouldn't let me stand under the blazing sun for too long, communicating very smoothly, so although it was a bit tiring after a few hours of shooting, the photo-producing efficiency was incredibly high.

In fact, every time I go for an outdoor shoot, it's not just about doing movements in front of the lens, but more like a brief life of the character in a real scenario. Standing by the seaside truly makes one feel that both body and mind open up accordingly. Looking at the recorded frames this time, it feels as if one can feel that slightly salty sea breeze just by glancing at them.

No matter how hot the weather is, being able to shoot a set of photos that I love in such a clean and bright scene is truly something that fills me with drive.
