This set of Chihaya Anon cosplay was shot at a pier near Anaheim, Los Angeles. To recreate the original setting, this combination of a gray blazer jacket and a green plaid pleated skirt used a crisp fabric on purpose, and the bow tie and white edges on the cuffs were made as detailed as possible. The long pink hair was styled into her iconic airy look. Since the shoot was by the seaside where the wind was quite strong, I specially used setting spray to slightly fix the direction of the hair strands, preventing them from being too messy and affecting the cleanliness of the shot. I must mention that the Los Angeles sun was very abundant that day, which gave a wonderful effect to the wig's luster and skin texture, while the large red, white, and black cruise ship in the background perfectly filled the blank space in the frame.

The red-and-black chimney of this ship happened to form a visual contrast of warm and cool tones with the gray-and-green uniform. During the shoot, we tried two perspectives: front view and back view. The hand-raising action in the first front-facing shot referenced her cheerful personality of liking to show off, while the second back-facing shot perfectly displayed the natural look of her long hair flowing down. Integrating a bit of real life into a 2D daily life atmosphere has always been a creative direction I really love. During the process of preparing this outfit, I also came to appreciate the character's genuine cuteness in the band—positive and sunny but with a little vanity, making her very easy to empathize with. For the post-processing color grading, the original vibrant hues were preserved without excessive filters, allowing the California sky blue and ocean blue to appear more pure, making the texture of this photo set look closer to a genuine outdoor daily snapshot for this Los Angeles photography project. Completing a cosplay of a favorite character from a beloved work during a trip is indeed a highly meaningful experience and my heartfelt interpretation of this character.
