Text: This set of Tushan Yaya photos taken live at the anime convention is finally ready to be released. Looking back at these convention photos, I feel the overall atmosphere and the core traits of the character have been recreated quite well.

First, let's talk about the costume details. This modified traditional-style battle robe, dominated by blue-teal tones, was meticulously designed from material selection to tailoring. Up close, you'll find that the fabric's texture beautifully catches the shine under the intense lighting of the convention venue. The large white fox-tail totem on the sleeves is a visually striking element of the entire outfit. When the wide sleeves unfurl with movement, they create an incredibly powerful aura. For the white plush shawl on my shoulders, I chose a fluffy yet sleek version to ensure it visually complements the fox ears on my head while balancing the overall body proportions.

Speaking of the fox ears, this pair of large ears fit my head perfectly, and the color transition of the faux fur is very natural. Together with the dark background and overhead lighting, the rim lighting along the fur's edge turned out stunning. For the hair, I specifically chose a long, straight wig and styled it to be super smooth, which frames the face nicely and aligns with the character's cold, elegant, and aloof aesthetic.

Shoes and accessories were also a major highlight of this look. I chose a pair of sheer platform stiletto sandals, paired with white double thigh straps and tassels, to visually elongate my legs as much as possible. Although wearing these shoes and walking around a convention all day was a real test of endurance, the hard work was completely worth it for the final shots. During the shoot, I tried to find a balance in my movements, using standing poses or simple leg raises to fully showcase the details of the shoes and thigh straps.

For the makeup, I specifically adjusted the shape of my eyebrows and eye makeup to give my eyes a colder and more resolute look. The reddish lip color contrasted with extremely pale skin beautifully highlights my facial features against the blue-teal tones of the outfit. During the actual shoot, I kept adjusting my focal point to capture that sense of detachment mixed with a hint of pride.

Regarding the shooting angles, the photographer was amazing at finding the light. The circular spotlights at the top of the venue created beautiful bokeh rings in the background, cleanly blurring out the messy convention floor while making me stand out as the subject. The metallic grid flooring characteristic of the convention was also kept, adding a great sense of being on-site.

Among the poses in this set, I tried several different vibes. For instance, the natural standing pose with hands crossed in front (Photos 1 and 3) focuses on displaying the character's aloofness and composure. The pose with one hand slightly raised or extending from the sleeve (Photo 2) better showcases the dynamic beauty of the wide sleeves. Finally, the sitting photo (Photo 4) was actually a candid shot captured by the photographer while I was resting. In this relaxed pose, it not only highlights the slender stilettos and thigh straps but also fully reveals the blue-and-white color scheme and fox-tail pattern of the entire outfit—making it look unexpectedly powerful.

At the convention, many passersby and photography enthusiasts were drawn to this tall, striking look. Despite wearing heels with over ten centimeters of platform, I still had to maintain a stable posture to match the shutter rhythm. Honestly, the convention floor was made of hollow metal grates, which means every step for a cosplayer in high heels has to be extremely cautious to avoid getting a heel stuck. However, to deliver the perfect result, I pushed through and completed the shoot from multiple angles.

As for post-processing, we stuck to the principle of "preserving reality." We didn't stretch body proportions excessively or completely wipe out background elements. Especially in the final sitting photo, keeping the edge of the chair and the blurred stage trusses in the background gives these live photos a touch of realism, making them feel much more alive than pure studio shots.

Overall, this cosplay photography experience was incredibly fulfilling. Though the convention was bustling with people, by finding the right angles and lighting, we were still able to capture photos with a deep sense of character immersion. A lot of thought went into the color contrasts and element combinations of this look, and I hope everyone can feel the character's signature aura. Going to a convention on the weekend to do a cosplay shoot is tiring, but seeing the final photos makes it all worthwhile.
