Taking advantage of the 7th Jinling Youth Cultural Festival, I finally arranged these on-site photos of Yidhari cosplay from Zenless Zone Zero. From initial preparation to the final presentation, this cosplay look took an enormous amount of effort. Yidhari's overall color palette is anchored in white, black, and purple, delivering immense visual impact. To faithfully recreate the character's temperament, I put on a shoulder-length blonde bob wig and securely pinned a black military-police style mini hat adorned with purple accents on top. The purple choker around my neck, detailed with golden circular ornaments, was crafted with solid precision.
The upper body features an off-the-shoulder white form-fitting top with cutout detailing across the chest. The arms are styled with sleeveless white flared sleeves paired with black fingerless gloves. The lower body consists of glossy black shorts paired with over-the-knee Black stockings. The glossy material carries a remarkable tactile texture under the industrial lighting of the exhibition center. Trailing behind is a colossal purple glossy cape that billows with commanding presence as I walk.
In truth, beyond the Black stockings, the most eye-catching element of this ensemble is that colossal staff prop. The staff's long shaft is black, crowned with purple components, while the bottom connects to an enormous black sphere studded with numerous circular purple details. This prop is not only massive in size, but also quite heavy. During shooting, I had to support this long shaft with one hand while keeping my center of gravity steady, which drained far more physical stamina than I anticipated. This demanded that while posing, I couldn't just pursue aesthetic poise—I also had to figure out how to leverage the prop for physical support, striking that balance of being both dashing and stable.
The shooting location was set in a vast industrial hall area of the exhibition center. The backdrop consisted of gray concrete floors, soaring ceilings, metal beams, and industrial overhead lights. This cold, hard industrial style resonated perfectly with the post-apocalyptic sci-fi vibe of Zenless Zone Zero, matching the aura of Yidhari's gear seamlessly.
The camera angles for this shoot were wonderfully diverse. I experimented with sitting on a floor mat, standing, sitting on a folding chair, and even kneeling while looking back over my shoulder. What left a deep impression was sitting sideways on the mat, propping myself with one hand while holding the heavy weapon in the other; though my arm ached, the resulting lines were beautifully elongated, with the combination of Black stockings and shorts visually extending the leg proportions. Additionally, when standing, stepping with one foot onto the spherical weapon paired with a cool, stoic gaze effortlessly conveyed the character's distinctive commanding presence.
Returning to the styling, the stark contrast between white and black, punctuated by purple accents, is visually striking and timeless. The glossy finish of the cape echoes the texture of the shorts, while the gloves, choker, and Black stockings on the legs enrich the overall layering of details. From convention photos (Convention photos) to finished on-site captures, every press of the shutter was a tangible realization of my understanding of the character. Yidhari enjoys tremendous popularity in Zenless Zone Zero, and bringing her into reality through cosplay to meet everyone this way brought me immense joy. Wrapping up the shoot and reviewing the shots on the camera screen, I knew every bit of preparation and hard work was completely worth it.
