This time, the shooting of Zenless Zone Zero's Velina was generally quite smooth, but the biggest regret was the prop folding fan. Originally, I planned to buy the original version of the fan, but in the end there really wasn't enough time, so I could only use this wood-colored hollow-out folding fan as a temporary replacement. If you look closely at the patterns on the fan surface, there are still discrepancies with the character's own setting, so I'd like to apologize to everyone here. When I first got the costume, my first impression was that the layering is extremely rich. The dark blue and white spliced fabric has a great drape, and it will have a certain luster under studio lighting. The golden stacked decoration at the front collar is the visual focus, matching the high-collar design, giving it a very strong presence. The black leather corset at the waist is a tricky part because it has rivets and metal buckles, requiring minor adjustments to the tightness when wearing so that it fits the body curves without affecting breathing. The high-slit long dress cut of the lower body is very interesting; when walking, the white tassels and silver triangular decorations on the skirt hem sway along, and during the shoot, the turning amplitude needs to be controlled to capture the best dynamics. In terms of makeup and styling, to fit Velina's image, the wig was chosen as a silver-white long straight model, trimming the bangs and edge layers to easily style an arc that fits the face shape. The most time-consuming part is this pair of elf ears. Before wearing them, concealer treatment needs to be done on the edges to let it transition naturally with skin tone, and after sticking them on, setting powder needs to be pressed on to ensure there is no unnatural reflection under strong light. The eye makeup used purple contact lenses paired with upward-slanted dark eyeliner, focusing on portraying the sharpness of the gaze. Because the character has very distinct cold characteristics, I deliberately reduced facial expressions during the shoot, putting the focus of exertion on limbs and hand movements. Although the black leather gloves look cool, they are actually very stuffy and non-breathable. During the shoot, wearing them to grip the fan ribs actually requires a certain amount of strength, otherwise it's very easy to slip and drop due to hand sweat. When posing, the black gloves and white cuffs formed a strong light-and-dark contrast, and I deliberately stood on tiptoe with one foot, making the silver sequined high heels a highlight of the whole body to elongate the proportion of the legs overall. The full-body photo standing on the round exhibition stage is the most satisfying composition this time; the high-slit design just happens to reveal the leg lines, and with the support of high heels, the person's posture appears more upright and tall. Overall, although this Velina outfit has numerous details, wearing it really allows one to quickly get into character. The regret of the folding fan can only be made up for next time, and I hope to encounter more interesting shooting scenes next time.
