[Angels of Delusion Chinatsu Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero: Shining Moments at the Prism Exhibition

Ever since receiving an invitation from Prism Art & Creation Dimension, I had been preparing for this trip, and today I finally rushed to the China International Cartoon & Animation Festival with my shooting plan. The studio shoot setup on-site exceeded all expectations—the curators really know how to design photogenic scenes. Here's a look into my impressions and notes from this shoot.

First, let's talk about the outfit. I cosplayed Angels of Delusion Chinatsu from Zenless Zone Zero. The character design is exceptionally lively, so when preparing the wig, I specifically chose a light green fluffy curly style. The bangs needed light, irregular curves, which, paired with the cat-ear headband, instantly brought out a playful charm. The headband features a white-base, black-trimmed ruffle design, and the mini yellow frog hair clip served as a cute visual highlight that nicely grounded the overall light color scheme.

For the attire, I opted for a modified black-and-white Maid outfit rather than an overly complex gown. The collar features a white lapel structure with a striking bright red bow at the chest, centered by a round black-and-gold decorative button. This is not only a signature character trait but also adds rich layering to the neckline area. The black-and-white contrast at the cuffs and the gathered ruffle design visually elongate body proportions while giving a lively, endearing feel. For the lower half, a white pleated skirt was paired with white thigh-high socks, where subtle vertical pinstripes gave the legwear a three-dimensional texture. The visual effect of thigh-high socks looks sleek and long, serving as a core highlight of this style, which creates great visual extension when posing naturally in the set.

The construction of the shooting environment truly deserves praise. The studio background was built using layers of silver metallic reflective materials, delivering a futuristic, cyber-inspired visual impact on-site. Once the lights were turned on, the reflections off the crinkled silver surface made facial features appear more defined and three-dimensional. To balance the cool tone of the silver background, the set designer arranged a large bed of artificial flowers across the foreground ground, primarily in white and pale blue hues. This created a powerful collision of textures between the foreground floral bed and the cool metallic background, rendering the frame exquisite without feeling monotonous. During the shoot, I adjusted my seated posture slightly by leaning forward and extending a V-sign with my right hand toward the camera, utilizing the wide-angle lens characteristics to extend the distance between my hand and the lens, creating a compelling sense of immersive depth in this Anime-style photography.

The atmosphere on the event day at the Anime convention venue was phenomenal. The organizers hosted free photo check-in booths and raffle draws, drawing large crowds of players. Between shooting sessions, I joined a round of check-in raffles; while the prizes weren't overly expensive, the interactive fun greatly enhanced the joy of browsing the convention. It was clear the exhibitors put thoughtful planning into these activities. Venue circulation design was also logical, allowing me to wander through surrounding areas after finishing this photo set and check out cosplay works by other talented creators.

As for post-processing, I handled all editing myself. When processing this photo set, I highlighted the crisp light and shadow created by direct flash, preserving the highlights on the metallic reflector and the clear light-dark boundaries on facial contours. Meanwhile, subtle retouches were applied to even skin tone and enhance eye highlights, making the blue contact lenses appear clearer and more translucent. Many friends might think direct flash easily overexposes the face, but finding the right angles actually leverages this hard light to simulate the high-end aesthetic of studio magazine editorials.

Overall, this shooting experience with Prism Art & Creation Dimension was immensely enjoyable and professional. Beyond walking away with photos I love, participating in on-site check-in interactions was a treat. As a cosplayer who frequently shoots outdoors, enjoying high-level staging and lighting indoors is a rare luxury. From ambient lighting to floral prop styling, the curators' sincerity was palpable throughout. I look forward to participating in similar events in the future and hope platforms host more offline booths so ACG culture enthusiasts can gather and connect.
