[Cirno cosplay] Touhou Project's Ice Fairy, Today is Another Smart Day - Image 1

Sitting in the car taking selfies in front of the lens with this bright blue wig and red-rimmed glasses—this is probably just a typical day for Cirno. Many people say this character naturally comes with a "Baka" attribute, but today I am going to prove what it means to be "the smartest episode." The weather in Fuzhou lately has been truly unpredictable; it looked completely fine right before I headed out, but as soon as I got in the car, it felt like it was going to rain. As the Ice Fairy, should I consider summoning some wind and rain here to lower the temperature a bit?
But honestly, it's my first time cosplaying this northern fairy character in a southern city. While the combination of the wig and the bow looks very striking under indoor lighting, once we actually step outdoors, the humidity poses quite a challenge for the wig's styling. I intentionally trimmed the bangs to be fluffier, pairing it with that slightly blank gaze to strive to capture the essence of this "genius" girl. I chose deep blue colored contacts, which, combined with the eye makeup, make my gaze look more focused. Don't be fooled by the decorative nature of the red-rimmed glasses; I'm seriously thinking about how to use ice magic to deal with this muggy weather. The neckline design of this outfit is quite interesting—white fabric with red laces—making it look layered without being too heavy. Taking selfies in the small space inside the car is perfect for highlighting the details of the head and upper body.
Every time I cosplay a character from Touhou Project, the greatest joy is figuring out their unique contrasting personality charms. Cirno's confidence and occasional clumsiness genuinely put one's expression management to the test. I hope today's outdoor shoot goes smoothly, and that we don't actually run into a downpour that drenches my wig—that would truly turn me into a "drowned fairy." Since I'm here in Fuzhou, I should properly experience the local culture and hospitality; maybe I can even find a few stairwells suitable for shooting ice spikes. The photographer's camera is ready, just waiting for the weather to look kindly upon us to produce some shots that let everyone recognize me as Cirno at a single glance. The makeup this time isn't too exaggerated, keeping it as clean and clear as possible. After all, the character's original design is that sort of slightly silly yet exquisite feel, which I think is much closer to the temperament of the original work. Alright, time to get out of the car and embrace my very own stage of ice!
