This time, I finally arranged the photoshoot for the Green Snake skin, pushing my Xiao Qiao all-skins plan in Honor of Kings one step further. The shooting location was chosen in this dense lotus pond; the endless greenery and the water ripples under the sunlight are a perfect match for Green Snake's color palette. But to be honest, this camera position was really tough to access. Underfoot were slippery rocks, surrounded entirely by lotus leaves and mud. To find a footing where I wouldn't step into the mud and could let the streamers drape down naturally, we adjusted back and forth over a dozen times. Standing barefoot on the rocks required both maintaining balance and controlling my expressions and range of motion, which was quite a test for my core strength. The prop silk fan and the white flowers on the hair accessory had a great texture under the sun, but to keep them from being messed up by the wind, they needed to be reorganized during shooting intervals. The photographer, Teacher Lingguang, was extremely patient, standing in the water the whole time to find angles for me. Especially for that one-legged standing shot, my entire body was tense, fearing I would lose my balance and slip. However, the moment I saw the final photos, I truly felt it was all worth it. The overlapping lotus leaves formed a natural foreground, and the light filtering through the leaves hit the skirt hem, creating a translucent blue-green tone that highly replicated the character setting. Although the process was hard work, being able to present my favorite character in this way is a great sense of accomplishment. Before the next outdoor session, I will definitely check the ground carefully first—after all, safety comes first—but for beautiful photos, I'm willing to try even the hardest paths.
