Choosing to shoot Elysia's Fairy of Wishing Love look in this industrial-style exhibition hall was meant to create a visual contrast with the character's inherently gorgeous, dreamy aura. The overhead truss spotlights and reflective floor provided a great foundational environment for the venue, offering natural anchor points for post-processing lighting composite effects.

While preparing for this Elysia Cosplay shoot, I realized that the harmony between hairstyle and head accessories was vital. The Long pink hair needed to maintain an overall airy lightness to achieve a natural wind-blown or flowing visual effect during shooting. The position of the white mini top hat had to be neither too high nor too far back, highlighting cuteness while leaving ample room to showcase the wig's bangs. In terms of makeup, to match the character's temperament, blush was applied under the eyes, and a bright rose red was chosen for the lips. For the eye makeup, subtly shimmering blue-purple elements were used to add depth to the gaze, allowing the eyes to catch more light under the venue's illumination and appear brighter and more expressive. The fabric splicing of this outfit is also very distinctive: the outer layer is a lightly lustrous satin, while the soft inner lining ensures the skirt holds its shape and flares beautifully when twirling.

The key focus of this recreation was the volume and color of the wig, requiring repeated combing to achieve a natural, flowing texture. The red-and-white color palette of the costume, combined with abundant bows and ribbon elements, creates a wonderful dynamic visual when turning. The upper red vest has a tailored fit that prevents any bulkiness, while the white miniskirt retains ample fluidity. The White stockings are a crucial accessory in this look; the matte material and proper length beautifully flatter the leg lines amidst the alternating light and shadow of the exhibition stage, while pairing them with red lace-up high heels anchors the overall visual center of gravity securely.

During the shoot, I paid special attention to the relationship between my hands and the surrounding space—such as simulating the action of tugging ribbons or gesturing to lift a floating trumpet—all of which required anticipating where post-production special effects would be placed. The red heart lotus base beneath my feet served as the spiritual core of the entire work; standing on it, I was mindful to center my balance, maintaining a stable posture while naturally evoking a sense of being elevated and protected. Photographer @l奈📷 is adept at capturing dynamic moments, guiding me to continuously adjust hand gestures and gaze angles. In post-production, plenty of pink starlight and drifting flower petals were integrated to make the entire composition feel even more immersive.

The exhibition hall floor was made of polished marble or tile and was highly reflective, capturing not only the bright lights but also the red base and my standing posture, which enriched the photo's depth. Although there was heavy foot traffic and ambient noise, once the surrounding light spots were blurred into the background, the shoot became a focused, introspective dialogue. I believe Elysia's charm lies not only in her gorgeous appearance, but in her optimistic, radiant, and warm personality. When posing, I avoided rigid stances, allowing my limbs and fingers to curve with relaxed yet elegant tension, as if ready to leap into the air along with the glowing pink ribbons.

Elysia is inherently a character full of vitality and infectious energy. Portraying her requires maintaining a constant smile and communicative gaze, channeling that carefree joy into the lens. Even with the high foot traffic during this shoot, whenever the camera focused, I centered myself on becoming the character, using that dedication to overcome the bustling surroundings. Presenting this set of Cosplay photography is an expression of my deep love for this Honkai Impact 3rd character. I believe the value of cosplay lies in transforming 2D charm into visual art captured through the lens via makeup, costume, props, and performance—and all that careful preparation pays off the moment the final images come together.
