The tailored fit of this modified Qipao really kept me holding in my stomach all day during the shoot; the photographer guided me for quite a while to bring out the curves. The overall white tone paired with black edging and over-the-knee White stockings pushed that cool, ethereal aura to the max. In terms of makeup and styling, subtle colors were chosen to harmonize with the overall set, while emphasizing the definition of the eyes. The pool reflection on set was fantastic; the light hitting the water, combined with Japanese folding screens and a birdcage, created an intense ambiance. The third photo is my favorite cover shot—the standing pose not only showcases long legs, but the high-slit design also makes the overall silhouette look very slender. The gray rabbit prop I held during the shoot was super soft, and I tried holding the folding fan multiple times before finding the most natural posture. In fact, shooting in White stockings with a high-slit Qipao is quite challenging for posing: you cannot sit too loosely or the thighs will look pressed, nor can you stand completely straight—tilting slightly sideways is the trick to looking slim. A Go board was also prepared on the carpet, and we rotated through several props. The lighting across the studio had cool undertones, contrasting nicely with the warm tones of the yellow flower tree in the background, making the final photos very satisfying. As these are Convention photos, I met many friends at the event who also love Sora, each with their own way of recreating the character. Cosplaying Sora this time involved a lot of research on details, such as how the hair ornaments were tied and handling the folds of the Qipao, aiming to convey feminine grace while preserving the character's cool detachment. The White stockings were carefully chosen for an opacity that does not reveal skin tone, yielding a textured look under the light. Walking around with the high-slit skirt revealing a glimpse of the White stockings created a fantastic layered visual effect. Every cosplay feels like experiencing a piece of the character's life; this was a wonderful experience with great team synergy and thoughtfully designed sets and props.
