Choosing to complete this river tracing photography-themed outdoor photoshoot by the stream. Shooting under natural light offers much richer environmental lighting and shadow changes than studio shooting; mottled tree shadows cast upon the white shirt and plaid skirt bring a very authentic texture. The sheer black tights paired on the lower body and the setting of stepping barefoot into the stream perfectly fit the character's slender yet slightly lazy feel.
The first photo was taken in front of a swing rope, using the rope as a support point to make body postures more natural. The black plush rabbit held in my arms is a key prop; the dark plush material contrasts with the light-colored clothing, effectively focusing the visual center on the subject. When sunlight filters through the leaves, golden highlights catch the edges of the hair, making this backlit atmospheric feel especially captivating in outdoor photography.
The second scene utilizes a wooden chair and low table right in the stream, where watermelon and soda cans establish a strong everyday life atmosphere. While sitting, the drape of the black tights and the subtle creases around the knees look exceptionally natural, smoothing out the leg lines as well. During shooting, we constantly monitored the stream's flow because the furniture placed in the shallows was easily rocked by water, requiring several adjustments to their placement.
For makeup, heavy eyeshadow was abandoned, focusing instead on eyeliner and lashes to elongate the eye contours, maintaining a translucent feel under outdoor natural light. The twintails hairstyle is somewhat tricky to manage in the wild wind, requiring frequent use of styling spray to maintain the hair strands' neatness. The entire shoot involved standing and walking in the stream water; the icy chill of the current felt very authentic, yet precisely this environment brought vital energy to the entire frame. In post-processing, the color grading leaned slightly toward warm-green tones, capturing this tranquil summer wilderness moment exclusively through the lens.
