Changing into Amiya's classic combat outfit to enter shoot mode, the first challenge to address was the strongly prominent pair of rabbit ears atop my head. To prevent the ears from producing awkward harsh reflections under bright studio highlights, the stylist specially built an internal support structure inside. This ensured that whether sitting straight or turning sideways, both ears maintained a stable angle, avoiding embarrassing "crooked ear" moments in discarded shots. A white collared shirt paired with a light purple ribbon bow tie, covered by a blue-and-black color-blocked jacket, and complemented by a blue sash featuring English lettering across the chest—the overall outfit leans cool-toned yet remains beautifully color-balanced. The neat blue piping at the cuffs and the plaid details on the skort give this uniform a wonderful texture under the camera lens.
This time, we chose a pure white background photo studio for White studio photography. A solid color background suits Amiya's outfit perfectly; it highlights the blue spliced decorations on the jacket without cluttering visual focus with complex scenery. The key light shone down from slightly above the front, giving the Black tights outfit a soft, gentle sheen. To express different moods, I deliberately took off the brown loafers in some photos, posing barefoot in black tights. This made ankle lines look more natural, adding a relaxed, cozy feel. Putting the shoes back on instantly boosted character completion, creating a great material contrast between the glossy jacket and shoes.
In the third photo chosen as the cover, I raised my right hand in a simple V sign. Combined with the rabbit ears and a slightly forward-leaning posture, this gesture effectively conveys the character's gentle yet lively side. The jacket cuffs are relatively loose, so natural folds formed when raising my arm gave the frame a touch of casual life. For the Black tights outfit as a key lower-body piece, I specifically selected a semi-matte, high-stretch model. In sitting poses, it avoided harsh crease lines at the knees while flattering and extending leg lines. Switching between wearing shoes and being shoeless served as a visual reference for distinguishing maturity from playfulness throughout the shoot.
For hair, the makeup artist woven subtle teal shimmering threads into my dark brown straight hair. Though subtle from afar, these strands created a lovely glittering sheen under close-up camera lenses. For makeup, a translucent base was chosen alongside earth-toned eyeshadow, matching her battle-tested yet pure-hearted character. During shooting, I needed to constantly adjust eye contact height and angle: because the ears on top were large, looking too low would visually crush my frame. Looking slightly upward or straight ahead, paired with fingers gently touching my chin or cheek, kept expressions looking natural and effortless.
Because I needed to sit on a white cylindrical pedestal for a long time to accommodate various camera angles, costume comfort was essential. The fabric of this outfit is crisp yet slightly elastic, without feeling stifling. During breaks, I stood up to smooth out jacket folds, ensuring the plaid skirt maintained a neat silhouette when sitting down again. Comparing the expressiveness of shoe-on versus shoeless states, I personally adore the versatile switch between a capable look in shoes and a gentle mood when shoeless.
Moderate cool light from the lighting crew hit the white wall and pedestal, laying a clean and crisp filter over Amiya's look. Plaid patterns on the outfit and ribbon pleats rendered beautifully under light and shadow. In expressing character temperament, I avoided overly dramatic poses, choosing instead a slightly tilted head and bent-leg sitting posture to capture her calm, composed baseline. The entire shoot went smoothly, with the stylist adjusting falling hair ends whenever angles changed so hair wouldn't cover the bow tie decoration.
This set of White studio photography works didn't rely on complex sets; a pure white backdrop alongside detailed styling sufficed to present Amiya's classic image. The photographer captured many subtle expressions I rarely noticed myself, such as the glimmer in focused eyes or reaching out to adjust a cuff. Through these photos, I hope to showcase a character who is quiet yet not silent, cute yet resilient. After all, cosplay sharing isn't just about restoring original character designs, but injecting one's own emotional understanding before the lens—and this white studio experiment fulfilled that desire perfectly.
