[Lemuen Cosplay] Light and Shadow Universe of Arknights: A Complete Log of Nanjing Studio Shoot

Driving all the way from Shanghai to Nanjing, the destination was Nanjing Light and Shadow Universe studio, specifically booked to shoot Lemuen from Arknights. The schedule had been meticulously planned far in advance, as crew members hailed from three different cities, making our successful reunion a truly special occasion. My photographer friend took a high-speed train dedicatedly from Yangzhou to Nanjing, while the makeup artist was an exceptional local talent I pre-arranged via Xiaohongshu.

Upon arriving in Nanjing, I met up with the makeup artist first; she was extremely warm and communication flowed effortlessly. Because Lemuen's makeup needs to align with her character aura while adding dimensional depth under studio lighting, her attention to detail was top-notch. The final makeup result was deeply satisfying, with the subtle red blending around the lower eyelids looking particularly vivid and expressive on camera.

As for costume and props, we specially transported a compact wheelchair prop along with a sniper rifle and handgun all the way from Shanghai. The black leather tactical outfit carried a solid weight, but its tailoring and contour fit were ingeniously engineered—the chest cutout and cinched waistlines captured the character's core essence brilliantly. In particular, the pink criss-cross straps on the trousers retained a crisp tactical edge while infusing a soft, delicate touch of design. The floating halo prop above required angle stabilization, undergoing multiple calibration tweaks before we officially started shooting.

Once the photographer arrived right on schedule, we immediately kicked off an efficient, tightly-paced session. The entire studio cosplay photography session lasted around two hours. The lighting inside Nanjing Light and Shadow Universe was beautifully uniform, with the interior adorned with white Roman pillars and classical sculpture elements. These formed a striking visual contrast against Lemuen's black leather suit, creating outstanding visual texture. We experimented with seated postures as well as leaning against a white carved chair; holding the massive sniper rifle conveyed an exceptionally strong sense of power. The photographer's candid captures were spot-on—considering every detail from rifle-holding postures and calm facial expressions to the intricate folds of the trouser straps, catching numerous satisfying moments.

The studio owner, Ah Neng, took wonderful care of us, actively helping adjust set arrangements and thoughtfully serving us water. Moreover, the Corgi kept at the studio was adorably well-behaved; petting him during shoot breaks immensely relieved the fatigue of concentrated shooting.

Having done cosplay photography for years, such a seamless and comforting experience is genuinely rare. Reliable makeup and hair styling, a punctual and talented photographer, a spacious and comfortable studio, and an incredibly heartwarming studio owner—everyone cooperated with tacit harmony without a single moment of delay. It was truly a healing out-of-town studio photoshoot trip. Now I am eagerly anticipating the photographer's retouched final edits, holding onto both rich creative material and a deeply fulfilled, joyful heart.
