This shoot features a derivative Nun style look for Ganyu. Pre-production efforts focused heavily on securing the wig and horns. The wig was trimmed to length, ensuring the twin-tails' curves draped naturally along my shoulders; to prevent the horns from slipping during movement, multiple bobby pins and hair gel were used for reinforcement. As for makeup, to match the light blue wig, cool-toned grey-blue eyeshadow was chosen to sculpt deeper eye sockets, finished with slightly upturned eyeliner to give the gaze a sharper edge. The base makeup pursued a matte finish, forming a clean contrast against the black garments.

The outfit utilized a form-fitting cut in a black-and-white color scheme. The upper half is a fitted white inner top layered beneath a black long-sleeved cardigan, with white ruffled trims at the cuffs and collar adding visual depth. The high-slit skirt design of the lower half was a highlight, tastefully accentuating the silhouette of over-the-knee White stockings whether sitting or walking. To elongate overall proportions, black platform high heels were styled.

The studio set made extensive use of semi-transparent blue gauze draped across the space and clear cellophane film spread on the floor, accented by several wooden Cross props within a moody, low-key setting. For lighting, a warm white key light hit the front, complemented by a cool blue rim light from the rear-side to carve out the silhouette—this warm-and-cool contrast added rich texture to the frame. To capture ideal angles, the photographer repeatedly adjusted the light stands while I subtly shifted my facial orientation according to the light source, ensuring even facial illumination without dead shadows. Handling the Cross prop proved to be a real test of arm stamina; the wooden piece carried noticeable heft and caused arm fatigue over time, but keeping muscles taut was essential for visual stability.

To flatter body lines, numerous subtle postural adjustments were made. When standing with folded arms, pressing them flush against the body would obstruct the chest curve and garment tailoring, so dropping the shoulders slightly and angling the wrists outward opened up visual space. When sitting, extending one leg straight while crossing the other bent knee utilized perspective to lengthen the legs, while catching natural light reflections on the White stockings. Lying down required engaging my core to keep the body gracefully elongated, preventing the waist from appearing stiff. Standing in high heels over plastic film and slippery gauze demanded constant balance management to avoid slipping—a minor challenge overcome during the shoot.

For facial expression, instead of an overly sweet smile, I maintained a calm, slightly distant composure. Staring directly into the camera lens with subtle forward tilts or head angles resonated with the ascetic, restrained atmosphere brought by the nun attire and Cross. The shoot placed high demands on stamina and emotional control; because the outfit was snug, shifting poses each time meant carefully rearranging the garment edges and the position of the stockings.

During post-processing color grading, I deliberately deepened background shadows and boosted blue saturation, preserving natural skin textures while avoiding excessive skin-blurring that erases fine detail. From concept to finished frames, this Anime cosplay look explored numerous techniques in wardrobe coordination and lighting interplay, hopefully providing useful inspiration for fellow enthusiasts who love this aesthetic.
