The details of this Mihara costume are truly so numerous that I had to repeatedly adjust them during the shoot; from the lace corset on the chest to the red rose decorations on the side of the waist, every part exudes the exquisite feel of the Nikke setting. The white semi-transparent material actually puts lighting to the test. In order to recreate that soft and moist texture from the game, a softbox combined with a reflector was used on-site to capture the lace's texture and translucency. The red bead strings on the headpiece and the necklace are the perfect finishing touches. Paired with the wine-red high heels, the overall visual creates a subtle sense of conflict—pure white and dark red, elegant yet carrying a slightly dangerous aura.
The scene layout also took a lot of thought: a vinyl record player, scattered candles, and rose petals, plus the reflection from the mirror in the back, make the entire atmosphere fit Mihara's character design perfectly. This time, I specially prepared three finished photos with different postures, trying my best to fit the aesthetic beauty of the original artwork's form, from the sitting position to the extension of the leg lines. Since the clothing is relatively light and sheer, the range of movement during shooting had to be well-controlled to avoid accidental exposure or wrinkles ruining the look.
For the post-processing color grading, the highlights were dimmed and a bit of shadow contrast was enhanced to give the white more depth and make the color of the red roses richer. I feel the completion level of this set has improved compared to before. I will follow up with Live GIFs later, so everyone can see more vivid detail expressions. This Cosplay photography experience as an ACG Cosplayer was a truly rewarding journey in capturing her captivating charm.
