I have been looking forward to this classic doll Hatsune Miku cosplay since the moment I received the wig and outfit for this Tonghua Anime Convention. To fit the ethereal feel of a "doll," I intentionally adopted a minimalist approach for the makeup, pairing a clear and translucent base with light blue colored contacts to match this white dress featuring silver lace and a black bow tie.
What I enjoyed most during the shoot was the exact moment when the long hair and the skirt hem fluttered together. Although the lighting inside the venue was quite complex, the photographer was excellent at capturing this natural dynamic. The details of the white lace and ruffles are highly sophisticated, and combined with the bouquet in hand, I really love the overall classical feel it presents. For props, I also brought a silver suitcase, which goes beautifully with the cool-toned attire.
After the convention, many people said this set looked like a real-life Ball-Jointed Doll. This is probably the magic that Vocaloid and the 2D world grant to reality through Anime-style photography.
