Shinobu is going rafting! To shoot this swimsuit look, I specially chose a clean light grey studio backdrop. The key to this look lies in a refreshing summer vibe. The wig features long light-blonde curls paired with a wide-brim straw hat that shades the light beautifully to evoke a lazy, relaxed feel. The top is a white cropped tied cardigan layering over a pink-and-white polka dot bikini, matched with ruffle-trimmed pink shorts with white dots below—an outfit perfectly fitting the summer vacation theme. On my feet are platform flip-flops decorated with cute cartoon figures, adding a playful touch to the overall style.

In Anime-style photography, selecting and using props is crucial. This time, I paired the outfit with a blue-and-white inflatable swim ring. Since the ring is quite large, special attention was paid during camera angles and hand placements to form a natural arc within the frame without obscuring key outfit details. Holding the straw hat with one hand and tucking the swim ring under the other arm, with toes slightly turned out—this standing posture conveys a lively tension and playful charm while making leg lines appear visually longer.

The studio lighting setup was tailored to highlight skin radiance. In post-processing, we aimed to preserve natural skin texture without excessive skin-smoothing, maintaining authentic realism in the photos. Transitions between highlights and shadows were handled softly. This cosplay work represents a fresh attempt for me—unlocking another side of her character through a breezy swimsuit theme. A smooth shoot relies entirely on meticulous early preparation: from props to garments, every tiny detail impacts the final outcome.
