As a Kigurumi enthusiast, I have tried countless times to capture the charm of various characters in front of the lens, but putting on this Sangonomiya Kokomi Bridal cosplay outfit gave me a uniquely different mindset. I used to think how, as the Divine Priestess, she stood at high places looking out over Watatsumi Island countless times to protect her people's peace. But today, in this studio set crafted with white Gothic pointed arch windows and pure white floral arrangements, I am willing to lay down that weight and simply stand before the camera as a young girl filled with longing. The light purple tone of this dress combined with semi-transparent tulle is just like coral and freely swimming fish beneath the sea—gentle and unbound.

Regarding the makeup, hair, and outfit for this shoot, I actually considered many details. The wig features a peach-pink to light-purple gradient, which closely fits Kokomi's original visual impression in Genshin Impact. The light purple veil worn on my head, embroidered with tiny shimmering specks, reflects a mysterious glow originating from the deep sea when combined with cool-toned backlighting. The neckline features a choker adorned with pearls and tassels, but the most eye-catching element is certainly the bow tie set with a deep blue gemstone at the chest; it not only defines the visual centerpiece, but also breaks the monotony of the light purple, lending a solemn touch of Watatsumi Island's priestess to this bridal gown. The accompanying white over-the-knee stockings are embellished with small blue bows; this delicate leg detail accentuates the sweetness and restraint of Anime-style photography while retaining a translucent allure. To preserve this sense of clarity, I specifically chose white high heels with a pearlescent sheen, creating a visual continuation with the color of the stockings and nicely elongating full-body proportions.

The indoor studio design for this shoot also perfectly fit the theme of "Watatsumi Island's tranquility." While portraying this character, I often ponder the conflicting tension within her—possessing immense intellect and formidable strength, yet yearning for peace and quiet inside. During the shoot, I deliberately slowed down my movements, whether holding my skirt hem, looking up at the chapel light, or gently placing my hands together in front of the flowers, striving to dissolve the heavy duties of nation and realm through body language, leaving only the pure innocence of a young girl. Judging from the finished photos, soft-focus lighting successfully fused the tulle fabric of the dress with skin texture, while the edges of my hair strands caught a lovely golden rim light, making me truly look as if bathed in mysterious sunlight filtering down through the ocean floor.

Throughout the preparation of this work, I researched extensive character lore and polished facial expressions multiple times for this custom mask. For a cosplayer, showing charm properly without appearing frivolous is an art in itself. The absolute territory between the white over-the-knee stockings and the short skirt, combined with the support of high heels, severely tests one's posture. Through repeated adjustments on set, I captured a stance that was natural, relaxed, and unforced, striving for perfect harmony in head-to-body proportions and overall mood. I hope these carefully prepared photos not only restore the priestess of Watatsumi Island in my heart, but also allow viewers to feel the tranquility and blessings that this Bridal cosplay look seeks to convey to their hearts.
