[Focalors cosplay] Genshin Impact Hydro Archon: Frozen in Time Between Crystals and a Sea of Flowers

The moment I put on this white and blue intertwined tulle dress and wore the butterfly-wing-like hair accessories while standing in the setting of interlaced light and shadow, the image of Focalors came alive. For this Genshin Impact Hydro Archon full photoshoot, a lot of thought went into the makeup and styling. The wig styling has distinct layers, and the combination of the blue and white butterfly with the golden halo corolla on top of the head brings an inherent sense of lightness. The dress uses multi-layered tulle patchwork, transitioning from a main white tone to sea blue. The chest and corset are adorned with exquisite gems and three-dimensional lace, topped off with ribbon thigh rings, making the posture look incredibly soft, beautiful, and flowing when worn.

For the scene, we used a large number of blue and white color scheme artificial flowers, paired with Roman columns and crystal chandeliers, to build a temple atmosphere overflowing with Hydro elements. During the shoot, I needed to constantly pay attention to the posture of the large wings, matching the fluffy feel of the tulle dress while focusing on the interaction between my limbs and hair strands. With every lift of the hand and turn around, I had to repeatedly confirm whether the light and shadow on my face were clean, and if the color of the blue pupils and the hair color were unified.

Focalors herself is a character with immense dramatic tension. She possesses an ingenious layout hidden behind the scenes for five hundred years; outwardly lively and elegant, she carries the profound responsibility of being the Hydro Archon deep in her bones. Compared to pure sweetness and cuteness, I wanted to convey a sense of divinity through my eyes and limbs—one that is confident with a touch of aloofness, yet still retains a playful edge. In this fairytale-like setting, rather than just doing a shoot, it felt more like performing an inner monologue belonging to a highlight moment. The photographer's guidance and cooperation were perfectly in sync, and the final image texture achieved the gorgeous expectation I had in mind for the Hydro Archon.
