[Sangonomiya Kokomi cosplay] Genshin Impact Summer Swimsuit: Lazy Resort Style

Putting on this Summer swimsuit outfit and Kigurumi mask, a wave of summer freshness immediately swept over me. This Studio shoot took place at MiYou MiaoMiao Wu, where the set design was meticulously crafted, specifically building an artificial shallow beach scene. Blue and white striped lounge chairs, matching sun umbrellas, green coconuts and freshly sliced watermelon on the table, along with a highly reflective mirror floor surface, created an exceptional water reflection effect. Combined together, these elements made it visually feel as if truly standing in a clear, refreshing bay, adding a sense of clarity and dreaminess to this photoset.

The entire costume strictly adheres to the theme, with a light purple two-piece swimsuit serving as the fitted base, while large dark blue bows on the chest and shoulders along with ruffled edges add delicate details. Translucent blue tulle draping from the waist and back sways gently with wind or motion, making the overall silhouette look remarkably airy. To strengthen 2D recognition and character traits, I chose white thigh-high stockings paired with dark blue platform geta sandals featuring bow decorations. This footwear visually elongates leg lines, coordinating seamlessly with the swimsuit's cut for balanced proportions. To complement the outfit, the hairstyle accurately recreated the blend of pink and light blue highlights, with a large dark blue bow tied at the top hair bun, establishing a color scheme echoing top and bottom.

In terms of expressions and body posture, I leaned toward capturing a lazy, cozy, and slightly innocent vibe. For example, sitting on the chair with hands cupping my cheeks while looking directly into the camera lens, or reclining against the backrest with legs naturally extended to convey extreme vacation relaxation. Interacting with scene props—eating watermelon, sipping blue iced drinks, and holding a transparent swim ring—served to enrich the narrative feel of the photos. Additionally, in composition details, the photographer expertly utilized the reflective floor's properties, placing subject and props at different positions to add visual depth through reflections.

Small challenges during the actual shoot stemmed from the reflective floor venue—while producing stunning images, it demanded high precision in positioning and movement, as stepping on the wrong spot could easily disrupt reflection symmetry in the lower half of the frame. Fortunately, the breathability and fit of this Kigurumi mask were better than expected; even during multi-angle shooting under continuous studio lighting, there was no noticeable stuffiness, allowing me to comfortably perform larger movements like slightly bending forward against the wooden table or leaning sideways against the chair to stretch out.

In fact, in this kind of outdoor/vacation-themed cosplay photography, creating atmosphere often moves people far more than complex post-processing special effects. Carefully prepared props on set—such as miniature cocktail bottles, plush dolphins, and blue-and-white lifebuoys—served excellently as foregrounds or accents, compensating for the monotony of single-character compositions. I personally fell in love with the composition where I recline against the chair holding a smoothie cup; bright red cherries and blue smoothie created a striking warm-cool color contrast with the blue tones of my hair accessories, looking exceptionally refreshing and cooling.

The overall color scheme for this edition focuses on blue, white, and light pink, supplemented by a touch of lush green foliage for a crisp, clean style. Immersing myself in this character, soaking in the beach chairs, sun umbrellas, and summer setup, it felt as though even the studio lights carried the scent of a sea breeze. From initial prep and costume coordination to interactive adjustments during shooting, every step reflected expectations for the final outcome. Through this photoset, I hope to convey that special summer relaxation and delight everyone looks forward to, and that my performance before the lens seamlessly merges with this carefully crafted set to present a casual yet vibrant resort atmosphere.
