[Keqing Cosplay] Dark Jellyfish-Style Anime-Style Fashion and Black Tights Mirror Selfie

Prepared a dark jellyfish-style Keqing cosplay fan-art outfit, attempting to blend the character's original sharpness with lighter, dreamy deep-sea elements.

Let's start with the most eye-catching waist design. The top section of this strapless style is black, with a deep V-cut that visually elongates the neck line. Cutouts at the bust and a white bow accessory serve as accents, maintaining an overall sense of mystery while adding refined detail. What I love most is the irregular blue-purple gradient skirt around the waist, with edges styled like fish fins or jellyfish tentacles. Paired with the fabric's subtle sheen, it displays a beautiful color transition under indoor lights, while scattered pearl embellishments keep the hemline from looking plain, giving it an agile and breathing quality.

Looking at the overall anime-style fashion structure, the silver-light purple twin-tail wig matches the character's original hair color very well. Deep blue bows and tiny white flower accessories on top further soften the visual heavy focus of the black color scheme. Black-purple ribbons and small metal accessories on the arms echo the character's traits in detail. The semi-transparent long streamer with purple gradient textures that trails all the way to the ankle is another highlight of this look, fluttering gracefully with movement and providing a soft contrast to the structured black top.

The lower body is paired with pure black tights and black chunky-heeled short boots. For this shoot, I chose the most casual mirror selfie format. The mirror test lies in pose coordination; to fully demonstrate the features of this outfit, I experimented with several angles. First, I tried a slightly side-profile standing pose, which allowed both the purple streamer behind me and the blue-purple gradient skirt at the waist to enter the frame, keeping the composition balanced. Next were squatting or semi-leaning angles, which better presented the skirt spreading out and trailing down from the waist. In post-processing, I didn't make major color adjustments, trying to preserve the lighting texture of the fabric itself and keeping the visual effect of the black tights natural and real.

This outfit falls into a dark dreamy style. While retaining some of Keqing's iconic elements—such as her hair color, twin-tails, and purple palette—the overall look gains an otherworldly fantasy feel. As a cosplayer, when trying different styles, the biggest fear is that the costume texture fails to support the setting's aura. But the fabric and tailoring of this set are indeed very thoughtful, especially the large blue-purple gradient front piece, which shows rich layered light and shadow shifts under different angles. I posed in over twenty positions facing the mirror before selecting a few that naturally showcased the clothing details best.

The posted photos happen to be the final results of the mirror selfie. I'm quite satisfied with presenting all the head-to-toe details in one frame while maintaining personal comfort. Wearing this set to anime conventions or offline events would surely be eye-catching. Large areas of black establish an overall mystery, while the striking blue-purple breaks the monotony, creating a distinct style. In terms of props, although no special weapons or gear were added, styling the wig and layering accessories were enough to portray the character's depth in this casual cosplay experience.
