[Tighnari cosplay] Happy Birthday to Forest ranger Tighnari!

For this birthday shoot of Tighnari, we prepared two distinctly different scenes. The real-scene section was set with flowers, plants, and wooden logs to evoke the daily life of a Forest ranger, where sitting on the grass flipping through a book captured his quiet, observant side. The studio section utilized a clean gradient backdrop to focus visual attention squarely on character dynamics and action.

Preparing the costume and props took quite a long time. The dark hair with neon green highlights needed careful securing, while the massive plush Animal ears and tail looked remarkably fluffy and realistic under natural light. The garment features rich color layers—dark blue fabric paired with green and red accent ribbons, topped with yellow floral ornaments and wooden trinkets at the waist, creating a full and vibrant visual effect. To maintain the crisp silhouette, the tension of each strap had to be monitored closely throughout the shoot.

The dynamic bow-drawing shot was particularly challenging to capture. This pose required strong core control: keeping a rock-solid horse stance while leaning the upper body forward. It took several takes to freeze the optimal body lines, and while exhausting, seeing the natural tension unfold in front of the lens made every bit of effort worthwhile. The small book in the close-ups was also a carefully curated prop whose aged paper texture matched the character's persona perfectly.

Regarding makeup, we emphasized color translucency and facial dimension, paired with character-accurate long eyelashes to convey a sharp, clever, and agile demeanor. There were numerous subtle styling details—such as the horizontal stripes on the gloves, the boot straps, and bright accent lines—all meant to accentuate the intricate design during dynamic shots. Looking back at these photos after wrapping up felt like retracing the character's inner journey, making it a completely fulfilling photoshoot experience.
