Putting on this gear and accessories prepared for Nicole Demara cosplay from Zenless Zone Zero, carrying that iconic white suitcase, we kicked off the day's outdoor photoshoot outside the exhibition hall. This photo set mainly aimed to express the character's brisk, confident, and street-fashionable traits, so we deliberately chose a sunny environment with geometric architectural lines and greenery, allowing the pink hair and overall light-colored outfit to pop in the frame during Outdoor photography.
Let's start with the outfit coordination. To present the character's signature style, the top features a light aqua-blue cropped sleeveless jacket paired with an inner pink midriff-baring top printed with classic motifs; the waist-cinching cut beautifully highlights the character's agile charm. The metallic zipper at the neckline and the golden heart-shaped collar accessory are clever details that elevate refinement, keeping the upper body from looking monotonous. I also fine-tuned some makeup details: to make the green colored contacts look more natural and translucent, the eye makeup utilized pink-orange tones to echo the wig.
The lower body styling is also a core focus of this look. The combination of light blue plush-trimmed shorts and black fishnet tights in this Fishnet stockings outfit retains a sporty flair while adding a touch of alluring charm. The black belt and heart-shaped decorative buckle are details I adore; the long leopard-print tail at the waist not only offers wonderful dynamic effects when walking, but also enhances the character's wild charm. The black thigh strap adorned with yellow-green jagged patterns is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the whole outfit, visually elongating lower-body proportions and projecting immense presence in standing poses when paired with chunky-heeled white platform boots.
In terms of prop preparation, this white hard-shell suitcase and the green-and-black plush toy were indispensable. The bright yellow latch on the suitcase and the stickers on the shell faithfully restore the character's setting upon closer inspection. Holding it or posing with it resting beside me during the shoot made the overall frame more vivid while hinting at her identity as a "Hollow Raider." We tried various postures: confident standing poses looking straight into the lens while holding the suitcase, and crouching poses with one hand resting on the suitcase lid while holding the plush toy and gazing sideways. Under natural outdoor light, this crouching posture easily accentuates the leg lines and waist-hip curves, while offering a great opportunity to showcase the wide white wrist gloves, pink arm sleeves, and black fishnet sleeves.
When cosplaying such a sporty and cute character, facial expression management is crucial. I tried to maintain a relaxed yet determined gaze, avoiding forced exaggerated smiles so emotions could flow naturally. The camera's light rendering was superb, capturing the smooth sheen of the pink wig, the texture of the fabrics, and the material of the white platform boots with pristine clarity. While shooting on the plaza, occasional passersby never caused disturbances, allowing us to immerse ourselves deeply in the shooting state.
For veteran cosplayers, every photoshoot is not only a tribute to the original character, but also a creative process in itself. Many small details—like securing the plush toy, positioning the thigh straps, and even adjusting the curve of the tail—require manual adjustment before shooting to achieve perfection before the lens. Although shooting outdoors under the blazing sun is demanding, seeing these frozen moments on screen makes all the preparation completely worthwhile. Without relying on complicated post-processing effects, these photos highlight the authentic character flavor and texture of the outfit, hoping to share the unique charm of this Zenless Zone Zero character with everyone.
