[Lynette Cosplay] Genshin Impact Fontaine Magician's Assistant: Convention Daily Life

The sun filtered through the clouds outside the venue on the day of the convention, helping me find that feeling of being a Genshin Impact Fontaine magician's assistant before the camera. Preparing this Lynette look took a long time, especially tuning the silhouette of the black leather corset and the stiffness of the teal-striped bow, which we finalized only after confirming it at least three times. The patchwork tailoring of the top places high demands on waistlines, but fortunately I was in great shape that day, capturing the character's crisp, capable aura perfectly.

The wig is a hand-trimmed silver short hairstyle topped with her signature cat ears, while the star eye makeup on my cheek was delicately drawn with a fine-tipped liquid eyeliner. Star motifs are embroidered on the white detached puff sleeves—this kind of line work truly tests a tailor's patience. The bright blue pleated lining beneath the skirt hem was designed to reveal a vibrant pop of contrasting color when crouching or making larger movements, made from wrinkle-resistant fabric to stay crisp and structured even in the crowded convention hall.

To recreate Lynette's elegant yet slightly tsundere professionalism, I adjusted several poses on-site. For instance, the crossed-arms stance is not only common in her design lore, but also highlights feminine strength and confidence during shooting. Because I was attending the World Line Anime Convention, there were many fantastic fellow enthusiasts and veteran photographers on-site. We found a grayish-blue exterior wall outdoors where natural light filtered through nearby greenery, relying on natural illumination rather than exaggerated lighting gear to capture the subtle luster of the leather outfit. Although the venue was bustling with the continuous sound of shutters and convention chatter, the moment I put on this costume, I felt as if I truly were that magician beside the Fontaine Opera House preparing for a magnificent show.

In terms of details, to properly match the fluffy large gray tail, we spent a long time figuring out how to secure it behind the waist so it wouldn't fall off or disrupt the natural drape of the skirt. Clasp-on leather tassels were also added to the side of the skirt; without sturdy construction, these delicate parts could easily flip over while running around the venue. For the tights, I specifically chose a matte-finish Lynette black tights style, because in Lynette's setting, pairing stockings with metallic ankle boots leans toward an easy, composed everyday look. Overall, I am very satisfied with the final photos; without needing exaggerated poses, simply raising my chin slightly and casting a subtly mysterious, all-knowing look into the camera brought the character's soul to life. The gesture of raising a clenched fist in the left photo was meant to express her confidence in magic performances and declare her determination.

The on-site atmosphere at World Line Anime Convention is always passionate, and when passing attendees called out the character's name at a glance, that sense of accomplishment as a cosplayer felt truly genuine. Although props like the toolbox and cat-paw gloves weren't fully showcased in this shoot, these profile upper-body close-ups effectively conveyed Lynette's agile, clever professional traits. I hope that through these cosplay photos, more friends who know Genshin Impact can feel the unique charm of this character. The meaning of a convention goes beyond taking pictures—it is an offline gathering among passionate fans. Every time I finish cosplaying such a professional character and take off the wig and contact lenses at home, traversing between real life and the 2D world feels incredibly thrilling. Looking back, the temperature today was perfect for wearing this leather dress—neither too cold nor too hot, preventing me from overheating while allowing the gentle breeze to flutter the skirt hem and reveal glimpses of the blue lining.

I am very pleased with the photo quality from this convention day, which deepened my emotional connection with Lynette. Every time I see the star elements on her costume, I'm reminded of the dedication poured into this outfit. Such a fulfilling day is, for someone who loves the 2D anime world, the purest form of happiness.
