[Shimoe Koharu Cosplay] Happy Birthday, the Arrival of the Angel in the Pure White Oath

The 'Pure White Oath' styling was completed last month, and the photos were shot then as well. Today happens to be Shimoe Koharu's birthday, so I specifically chose today to release this set as a belated but sincere birthday gift. When deciding to take on this look, our primary consideration was how to grasp the visual core of the 'Pure White Oath' theme. The entire outfit utilizes a large amount of lightweight white lace and irregular ruffled cuts, featuring semi-transparent mesh patchwork on the upper body, paired with pale pink strap lines on the chest and waist; this not only presents a flowing visual effect but also enriches the costume's overall layering. For the lower body, I chose elastic white over-the-knee socks paired with silver glossy stiletto heels; this combination effectively elongates the leg proportions.

The original shooting environment was set up in front of a pure purple background wall. To add atmosphere, the team prepared a large quantity of artificial pink cherry blossom branches, intertwining them strategically in every corner of the scene. The core prop was a huge golden vintage picture frame, with very delicate Baroque carvings around it. We tilted the frame at an angle to form a cross-perspective relationship with the character, which not only breaks the rigidity of flat composition but also creates a beautiful color collision between gold, pink, and purple in the frame.

Regarding character styling, I wore a pink-white gradient long curly wig with deep blue ocean-fin-style hair accessories on both sides. Additionally, I specifically configured Koharu's iconic pink halo prop on top of my head. For eye makeup, I selected soft reddish tones paired with light lip makeup to restore her vivid expression, which is both innocent and slightly dazed.

During the shoot, we mainly attempted two different visual angles. In the first photo, I sat sideways on a pile of stacked white fabric; paired with the tilted frame, this posture naturally shows the extension of the body while presenting the details of the over-the-knee socks and shoes without reservation. The second shot brought the lens closer, and I gently covered my mouth and nose with my hand, which shortens the distance to the audience behind the lens and adds a touch of playfulness and interaction. This experience truly embodies the allure of Anime-style photography.

The hardest part of this shoot was actually adjusting the flow of the fabric, as the white gauze easily creates unnecessary wrinkles or reflections, requiring the photographer and me to repeatedly adjust the sitting posture and the drape of the gauze. Fortunately, the final results did not betray the blood and sweat we poured in last month; every detail of the restoration and every capture of light and shadow were just right. For me, using a cosplayer's perspective to understand the character and then using photography techniques to present her—this is exactly what makes this Dreamy cosplay hobby so fascinating to me.
