This office-lady (OL) alternate-universe set for Shenhe was captured on the floor of the COC Comic Con. Swapping the character's original attire for modern corporate business wear created a surprisingly striking contrast. For the outfit, I deliberately chose a sleeveless high-neck black top; this cut beautifully accentuates the neck and shoulder line while pairing seamlessly with a high-waisted matte PU leather mini skirt, which looked textured and luxurious under the venue's harsh overhead lights without feeling cheap. I wore sheer Black stockings paired with black patent leather stilettos to elongate my overall silhouette, accentuating leg lines with every stride for an eye-catching finish. The accessories served as the crowning touch: a red lanyard with a customized employee ID badge, cradled alongside a blue document folder, truly sold the illusion of a meticulous investigator navigating convention halls.
Regarding the wig, Shenhe's silvery-cyan hair is notoriously finicky to manage—especially getting the bangs trimmed to just the right length so they wouldn't obstruct my vision. The long braid trailing behind required careful reinforcement to stay pristine throughout the busy event. The headpiece carries a sharp three-dimensional silhouette whose black, red, and white accents stood out crisply against the pale hair. For makeup, aligning with the OL concept meant keeping the eye look clean and crisp with slightly elongated wings, paired with bold red lips and crimson tassel earrings to instantly command presence.
Throughout the shoot, the noisy convention floor made dodging background crowds nearly impossible. The photographer and I agreed on using wide apertures and high-speed sync flash to darken the background, keeping the subject squarely in focus. Seated poses proved to be the most photogenic for this look: whether sitting sideways on the floor tiles to extend my leg line or crossing my legs atop a round black stool, each stance beautifully showcased the tactile sheen of the Black stockings and heels. We choreographed several subtle hand gestures—grazing the collar, clutching the folder, or holding a pen—to keep the postures organic rather than stiff. In the kneeling shot with hands behind my back and head tilted slightly, it captured that touch of innocent detachment characteristic of Shenhe.
Walking a convention all day in stilettos was undeniably brutal on the arches of my feet, but I absolutely adore this OL interpretation of Shenhe. Translating her aloof coolness into modern workplace attire—black uniform, Black stockings, stilettos, and her signature red cords—delivers professional sophistication while retaining unmistakable ACG recognizability. Every photo captured my genuine dedication on-site, beautifully revealing another compelling dimension of the character.
