This time, I decided to take on Odette, known as the Cygnet from Genshin Impact. The focus of the early preparation was how to capture her cool, aloof, and solitary aura. For the wig, I selected a voluminous light blue style with carefully trimmed and textured tips. To secure it firmly on my head, the wig cap had to be tightened considerably; though slightly uncomfortable, the final visual was well worth it. For makeup, a heavy look was avoided in favor of a translucent porcelain base. The emphasis lay on the eyes, blending grey-blue eyeshadow with subtly elongated eyeliner and dark large-diameter contact lenses, so that merely unfocusing my gaze projected a natural, distant detachment.
The costume consists of layered white and blue tulle fabric with an exceptionally long skirt hem that made walking tricky on set and prone to getting stepped on. The gems and wings on the headpiece had great craftsmanship and weight, requiring sturdy clips to anchor firmly into the wig. The shoot took place under fairly low temperatures, with the lighting adjusted to a cool color temperature. The photographer suggested several angles: the first pose involved crouching while hugging my knees—physically demanding, but paired with digital falling snow effects, it truly evoked the Cygnet standing lonely yet resolute amid a blizzard. Gazing downward past the camera added a narrative mood. The second pose was a side glance over the shoulder, lifting an arm to veil half the face with sheer tulle, which effectively showcased the intricate tailoring of the neckline and back.
The entire shoot lasted over two hours. Constantly maintaining this poised, aloof demeanor kept my muscles tense, leaving facial expressions a bit stiff toward the end. Still, my love for the character drove me to portray that untouchable, ethereal grace. I really enjoy this styling: the combination of cool tones and pure white feels exceptionally clean. In post-processing, we intentionally preserved authentic skin textures without excessive smoothing, ensuring the airy drape of the tulle dress took center stage. I hope this portrayal of Genshin Impact's Cygnet brings everyone a refreshing visual experience in this Roleplay.
