I didn't spend much time in Hall 1 at this year's Genshin Impact Fes; I mainly went over to take a few visitor photos of this Kamisato Ayaka "Letter from the Flower Season" look. There were more people on-site than expected, so we retreated after snapping a few photos, just in time to keep a souvenir before the crowds got overwhelming.
The details of this Letter from the Flower Season outfit are incredibly rich; the blue butterfly and white flower decorations on the straw hat have an excellent texture under the venue lighting. The folding fan in my hand is the finishing touch of the entire outfit—featuring a blue-and-gold gradient with white flower patterns, it looks fantastic in photos whether held open or closed for a pose. The sleeves feature a rather wide design with a slight sheen on the material, looking very flowing when walking around.
The hair and makeup this time were also paired with the character setting and the summer theme. The wig needed to be styled quite fluffily, and the braids on both sides were reinforced for styling. For the eye makeup, an earth-tone base was used, then embellished with glitter under the eyes to present a clean and clear look. The base makeup wasn't done too thickly, maintaining a translucent and natural effect in front of the lens. The butterfly hair clips were secured very firmly, staying straight through the entire day.
Although my stay was very brief, the efficiency of our cosplay photography was quite good. The lighting on-site was rather complex, with some overhead lights and intense booth lamps. I habitually looked for angles with soft natural light or strong diffuse reflection first, which results in fewer facial shadows and a more delicate skin texture. In the first front-facing photo holding the fan, that angle perfectly displays the golden embroidery on the cuffs and the collar details, and the straw hat didn't flatten my bangs, making me look quite energetic.
The atmosphere at Genshin Impact Fes has always been amazing. Although I only stayed in Hall 1 for a little while this time, walking around inside, seeing many players beautifully dressed up, and checking out various official theme zones still gave me a great sense of belonging. It's just a pity that there wasn't enough time to explore everything. However, being able to leave behind a few satisfying photos on this day is a small reward from attending this exhibition.
From a design perspective, this Kamisato Ayaka Letter from the Flower Season outfit perfectly fits the crisp freshness of summer. The combination of white and blue tones always carries a fresh, refined temperament, and paired with the pattern design of the folding fan, the overall look has high recognition at the exhibition. In front of the lens, I still wanted to display the character's elegance, composure, and a touch of youthful liveliness.
Visitor photos mainly focus on being natural and casual. Although the backdrops inside the exhibition were captured minimally, they were enough to provide a nice background for this outfit. The final photos turned out great, so it feels like the trip wasn't in vain.
