[Sakuya Izayoi cosplay] Touhou Project's Dashing Maid: Freezing the Moment of Flying Knives

The details of this Sakuya Izayoi maid outfit are truly exquisite; the lace layers of the skirt hem and the dark green tone of the bow tie perfectly recreate the original setting. The most important thing to control during the shoot was the dynamic tension. In the second photo, having over a dozen flying knives suspended in the air perfectly echoes Sakuya's signature ability to manipulate time and flying knives. In the low-light indoor setting, the scattered light spots and dust motes add a sense of movement to the air. Paired with the captured mid-air jump, it beautifully presents the character's clean and dashing side.

Every time I recreate a 2D character from Touhou Project, it takes a lot of energy to organize the costume details, especially the styling of the wig and the fixing of the hair accessories. This time, it took a lot of back-and-forth adjustments to reach the ideal state. The photographer also tacitly caught the most precise moment, allowing the frame to convey just the right sense of speed. For cosplay photography, while static images certainly have their unique texture, capturing a sense of dynamism often better reflects the character's temperament. Therefore, I intentionally chose this composition with strong visual impact this time. I hope everyone likes this creation that maxes out the character's traits.
