[Kisaki Cosplay] A Quiet Corner of Shanhaijing - Image 1

I've actually been preparing this Kisaki look for quite a while, and today I finally got the chance to capture it in natural outdoor light and shadow. As one of my favorite characters in Blue Archive, her design possesses both the elegance of traditional Chinese style elements and a touch of mysterious fantasy. Therefore, from the wig to the finest costume details, I tried my best to accurately recreate every single part.

First, let's talk about the hairstyle and hair accessories. The twin buns on top of her head are a highly iconic feature; it took quite a bit of time to style them so they stay perfectly round and full, while the straight bangs and loose strands by the temples frame the face beautifully. The silver-gray unique horn accessories on her head are also a key element—they serve as the visual focus of the styling and give the character a more commanding presence. For the makeup, I used a rather prominent red eyeshadow, blending it around the eyes and cheeks. This red-and-black color scheme complements the dark outfit perfectly, allowing a unique aura to shine through the cool demeanor, which makes this character instantly recognizable at any convention or studio shoot.

As for the outfit, I chose a modified sleeveless mini dress in deep blue. The large, vibrant yellow dragon embroidery on the chest is the visual centerpiece of the entire garment, and combined with the high-collar design, it fully brings out a serious yet exquisite sense of structure. The light blue flower button at the neckline is a clever touch that breaks up the monotony of a single color tone. My absolute favorite part is the outer translucent black tulle sleeves; they are incredibly lightweight, instantly elongating the arm lines upon wearing and allowing for more expressive and extended movements.

For this cosplay photography, I specifically found a quiet outdoor courtyard surrounded by green trees and wooden benches. The natural light filtering through the leaves created beautiful dappled shadows, establishing an atmosphere that perfectly matches the character's temperament. In terms of posing, I opted for a kneeling position while slowly spreading the sleeves outward to both sides with my hands, maximizing the tension of the tulle to create a wing-like visual effect. Although holding this pose was a bit of a challenge for my core and arm strength, the tranquil environment actually made it easier to calm my mind and fully immerse myself into the scene.

There were also a few small details to keep in mind during the shoot. For instance, this type of dark satin fabric has a high reflectivity under sunlight, so when shooting in natural light, you have to be mindful of the light's direction to avoid overexposed highlights. Additionally, the outdoor ground is quite hard, so kneeling on my own gray pad helped protect the costume and maintain a stable posture. Overall, it was a very comfortable shooting experience. Drawing from the character's calm and self-contained demeanor, I managed to find my own rhythm during this outdoor location shoot. I hope this set of photos allows everyone to feel the serene atmosphere presented by this character.
