[Roxy cosplay] Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation First Fitting Experience, Challenging Extreme High Heels

Trying on Roxy's bunny girl outfit and challenging high heels for the first time was truly a unique experience. The physical challenge was far greater than imagined. The heels were extremely high and the shoes very stiff; once I put them on, my ankles felt completely out of control and I couldn't straighten my legs, forcing me to lean against the wall or constantly adjust my center of gravity to keep balance. People who can stride or even run and jump in high heels are truly amazing, and I admire them wholeheartedly. To take these photos, my calves were intensely tensed the entire time while posing. Having to struggle to stabilize my body while expressing the character's demeanor made the process genuinely exhausting.
This styling used a shiny black patent leather bodysuit, white gloves, black bunny ears, and the signature light blue straight hair with a side braid. This patent leather material is quite stuffy to wear and extremely form-fitting; slightly larger movements cause a noticeable pulling sensation, so taking it on and off requires extreme care, ideally applying some body lotion for lubrication to avoid getting stuck. To make the leg lines look more slender, it was paired with White stockings, but this combination truly tested my figure and endurance—with the stockings compressing the legs and the high heels digging into the soles, standing for a long time under this double pressure made my knees tremble.
Styling the wig also took considerable time: smoothing the bangs, braiding the side braid naturally, and adjusting the bunny ears' placement according to the head shape, taking over an hour in total to finish putting everything on. Since I wasn't fully prepared for this first fitting, I intentionally covered my face with a color block, mainly wanting to check the overall outfit coordination effect.
A Mirror selfie is a fantastic way to review the overall effect; you can directly see whether the costume fits and if the proportions are harmonious without troubling others to find angles. Using the mirror's reflection can also help supplement lighting to some extent. Recording this with my phone was also a way of documenting the authentic Casual cosplay state. From a technical standpoint, pointing the feet slightly outward in this outfit elongates the legs, but because the shoe heels were so stiff and my ankles lacked support, just standing steadily was already difficult.
Although a Mirror selfie displays costume details very well, it can easily lead to blurry photos or unstable framing. I tried stepping back as much as possible, focusing the phone's frame on my hands and outfit. Worried about blown-out highlights from the shiny patent leather or unflattering creases caused by the hanger fit, I kept my movements very subtle, feeling as though my entire body was restrained.
Overall, this was a very novel Casual cosplay experience. Even though I suffered quite a bit from the sky-high heels, looking at the complete outfit in the mirror made the effort feel worthwhile. The outfit has plenty of details—white ruffles, a black bowtie, and White stockings on the legs—all bringing out the character's key features. From every angle, the gloss of the patent leather looked great, though mastering it requires significant physical stamina, and this Mirror selfie gave me the perfect opportunity for self-review. Aside from the shoes rubbing my feet raw, this fitting process was very enjoyable and gave me a clearer concept for the upcoming formal shoot.
