The cosplay photoshoot for Sangonomiya Kokomi is finally shot and post-processed. This photoshoot holds a special meaning for me because it is the first time I have formally prepared and completed a full character role-playing photography session. The character I am portraying is the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island, which is also a game character I love very much.

In terms of the costume, I chose this style where deep ocean blue interlaces with pure white. The massive blue-and-white striped bow on the chest serves as the visual center, and the texture of the water-drop-shaped gemstone embedded in the center is highly accurate. The black choker around the neck paired with white gloves, along with the white cutout over-the-knee socks, allow the details of various parts to be beautifully presented during the shoot. For the wig, I chose a long light golden wig. It not only fits the color but also provides a translucent soft-light texture under the photography lights; especially the high ponytail part, tied with a blue ribbon, enhances the character's recognition.

In terms of environment construction, it follows a dreamy route of ocean and underwater vibes. The shooting venue was decorated with many blue reflective tassel backdrops, hanging down to simulate the dynamic flow of water. The suspended transparent glowing jellyfish props and drifting blue bubbles all around created a highly immersive underwater world. The white cotton and semi-transparent tulle at the bottom resemble a cloud bed on the seabed, adorned with white candles and piles of pearls and conchs, giving the scene a touch of sacredness akin to a shrine.

This character is the leader of Watatsumi Island in the game, with a temperament leaning towards gentle and calm. Therefore, I didn't choose overly expressive movements for this shoot but tried to keep my limbs extended and natural. Among them, there are several frames of sitting quietly with closed eyes, letting the light and shadow hit the side profile, which looks very serene with the glowing blue tones. There are also angles standing and looking directly at the camera, fully displaying the hand movements and the silhouette of the costume. Since I am a crossdressing expert player, from the initial character selection to the early-stage makeup test, I have been pursuing the restoration of details, not wanting to waste such an excellent atmospheric setup.

Actually, back when I played Genshin Impact, Sangonomiya Kokomi was a character I always wanted to pull. Her positioning and character story are both highly attractive. During her last rerun, I already pulled her to C6, getting her complete attributes. The next goal is naturally to strive for her signature weapon's max refinement when the weapon banner reruns, so that she can be a true ultimate form in the game.

In terms of photography and post-processing, a cooler tone was chosen this time, which perfectly matches the ocean theme. The jellyfish props required special lighting to present that translucent blue, and the photographer also looked for several angles during the live shoot to capture the moments of interaction between the jellyfish and the character. The overall handling of the light source keeps the frame from looking harsh, but instead gives it a gentle and chilly feel for this ocean style photography piece.

Completing this shoot feels like a beautiful addition to my long-standing love for this character. Truly putting on this costume and standing in this blue scene allows me to more deeply experience the character's concept. Although the shooting process was tedious, to ensure a high-quality photoshoot, every single link is indispensable. This photoshoot is a good start, allowing me to accumulate more experience in character role-playing photography and look forward to future cosplay sharing with everyone.
